i haven't seen reference to it anywhere...including brian's list of novels. it there a hardback copy of this out in us printing? this is the original book that got me into brian's works, and i'd love to get a hardback copy of it to add to my library, but it appears that it may not exist! can someone shed some light on the subject?

If you want the book House of Doors simply go to the book section of Brian Lumley.com it IS there.

Tor have not done a hardcover edition of HOUSE OF DOORS.

It's not currently on our list of books to reprint in hardcover or trade paperback, since until MAZE OF WORLDS came out it was just a one-off and we are trying to do series in the larger formats.

We'll see how the PSYCHO books go, and then maybe we can do HOUSE OF DOORS in trade paperback in the future. I doubt that there would ever be a hardcover edition from us, alas.

jdovie, As far as I know - there has only been a hardcover edition of the second book in the series, HOD: Second Visit in the UK, Maze of Worlds in the US. The first book was paperback in both US and UK versions. And as far as I know, the versions of the first book are the same, both US and UK. Hope that helps.
