I'm sure we'd all love to see a Shaithis or Lady Karen walking around the hotel, so how about it guys? Any takers? Remember it doesn't necessarily have to be a Necroscope character, just a Lumley character... anyone fancy being a Tarra Khash or even a Cthulhu for the day? Get creative! :D

I'll be really disappointed if Eeyore doesn't come along in one of her stunning Devetaki costumes!

Was thinking of coming as Nestor all swathed in black from tip to toe just got to find a decent costume and maybe some red eye contact thingies.

The reason this would be such a good disguise I mean costume :D is because you wouldn't be able to tell who I was and it'll be all mysterious........well unless you read this thread of course and then you'd no who it was but thats not the point !!!!

I'm thinking of going as Armandra from the mythos stories. Red hair and milky skin...little dressing up for me! :D

Red hair and milky skin???
You're not thinking of going as that scouse bird from Big Brother are you? :D

I smell a compliment. Thanks Debs. Will you be coming in costume this year? Well you know me I'm going as Devetaki, however, I'm gonna spice it up a bit.

Goth Girl

Sounds interesting... ;) You get saucier every year!

I doubt I'll be dressing up... apart from being very busy over the next few months, I can't recall any pink-haired vamps anywhere! My backside is big enough to pass as Lathi, but we know the rules on bare flesh, so that's out!

I dunno... if I move around on my hands and knees, I could be the Crawling Chaos? :D

I'm confused GG won't you be crawling round on your hands and knees by midnight anyway ? :D (just so where clear on this there's no smutty innuendo intended here I just mean after all the drinking ;) )

Ummm... no comment!

Another thought... I could wear some really old tatty goth stuff, then I'd look like a Hound of Tindalos (I know, instead of just a hound!)

Mwah, GG, we loves ya.
And no Mr.Black, nothing like Sissy, as she is ginger and freaky looking, I may think badly of myself but I do have a figure (I eat meat dammit) and I'm not scouse so tongue.gif less of your cheek please

I was thinking of Darcy Clark - but I'm not sure if I can do non-descript...

Goth Girl
July 17th, 2003, 12:57 PM
I can't help you there P, never done non-descript myself!

And shame Mr Black... you can't compare our Red cutie with Vinegar T*ts!

Trying to think of other strong female characters... done Wratha, couldn't dream of matching Eeyore's Devetaki, and I don't have the hair colour for Lady Karen (or the looks, the figure etc!). Not decomposed enough for Zura.

Dammit, I think I might just have to go as GG :(

Red Willow

well, GG as GG would probably beat some people's costumes! And thanks for your support. As I actually have no money I could end up going as me as well.

One of my mates is a clothes designer so I'll see if she can knock me up a Jon Pertwee outfit.

On the subject of Sissy, I can't think of a better person to be staked, decapitated and then burnt. :D

Would that be classed as fancy dress, or just dressing fancy? :D

I have been considering fancy dress, I considered it last year but that was it!

Any ideas anyone? Who could I be? My own imagination is saddly lacking so any suggestions?

I've written and re-written this reply several times and I'm sorry Silver I can't think of anyone for you that doesn't come with a pervy comment after it so I'm gonna have to draw a blank for decency reasons redface.gif .........sorry I'm so ashamed of myself that I can't be mature about simple fancy dress ideas.

Silver my dear, there are loads of options, I think (avoiding the obvious perv comments) that you waould make a great Zek - you have fire smile.gif

Behave HH!!

Here's a few ideas for you... or any other gals (yup, includes you Sophie!)...just remember the boobie rule...!

Zura of Zura... some purple make-up on the 'affected' areas and an off the shoulder, split thigh dress.

Lathi... a beanbag up the skirt rear, covered in frills!

Lady Karen... there is a description of her wearing a dress that covers her up a bit more than usual! Red wig if necessary...

Wratha... c'mon anyone can top what I did for KC1!

BJ...an easy option, I'm sure she's described in fairly casual attire, especially early on. Just give her a crossbow. Sorry guys, no see-through night-gowns...!

Devetaki... only joking, she's taken! As is Armandra, unless RW chickens out (appropriate clucking noises!)

Ursula Torspawn... gypsy dress

And there are a load more, but don't have time right now to find 'em!

Just so we're clear on this is every body banned from showing nipple etc or is me being a bloke mean I'm I allowed to flash a bit of flesh if I come dressed as a woman ? :D

Red Willow
August 19th, 2003, 04:45 PM
Well I have the perfect fur skirt for Amandra cept it's black so I could be her if she fell in some oil or something!! They only had black, purple or pink (GG I thought of you looking at the pink one!!) Or I could be her shadow.
On the boobie thang, does that count after we're completely wrecked?

Goth Girl
August 19th, 2003, 05:52 PM
With a bit of creative license, I think being Armandra's shadow could work... and black fur skirt... drool! (I have metres of pink fur and keep meaning to make a skirt from it but never do!). A plain long white skirt (or satin slip) with some fake fur edging would work well. I work near a great fabric shop in Camden which sells loads of funky stuff like that, so let me know if you want me to get anything for ya. (And your boobie comment is a sure-fire way of getting loads of people to buy you drinks... ;) thirsty my dear? LOL!)

HH, if you wanna cross-dress and show your nips, well as long as it's a Lumley character... As I recall, Jason (not Caller of the Black) was bare-chested at KC1. Then again he was dressed as a male Wamphyri!

So you don't think I'd look good in a red wig dressed as the Lady Karen then :(

Sophie
August 19th, 2003, 05:56 PM
I was thinking about doing Wratha, as my natural hair is shoulder length and black, with a white streak, and usually crimped and all big and back combed in my most classic goth 80's style. I know wratha doesn't have a white streak, or is 80's lol, but people can suspend belief a little, I have a perfect dress for her as well.

I really want to do Karen, but it will mean getting a red wig. I might do the white dress, BUT covered on all breasts lol.

ok I need help deciding... :(

Wratha is a great Goth Wamphyri isn't she... is why I did it for KC1, I didn't have the pink hair (or bunny ears, LOL) back then!

Aargh, all this talk makes me wanna dress up too!

(And HH, I'm sure you'd be absolutely divine... Lady Karen meets Shakin' Stevens!)

Silver

Wow, thanks for the complement Tops, in my mind Zek is a formidable lady, not to mention stunning!

I don't think I could pull off a convincing Wratha and even though I thought about it Lady Karen is out of my league, although I have dyed my hair red on occasion in the past.

I'll leave her to you HH!

Of course I would never dream of attempting Devitaki, I would be out done before I'd even started!

Me?? trying to get drinks through nudity??
of course! :D
Thanx for the offer hun but making things is well beyond me and have no money atm anyway.
Just looked at sophie's profile-nice piccy hun and yay-more goths!!
Just thought-if I go as her shadow I won't have to wait for my current dye job to grow out, yay, black haired me.

Sophie
August 21st, 2003, 07:53 PM
Thank you red willow! One of my good days that was.

If you don't want to wait for black hair dye to grow out, I was told by the hairdresser, you have to dye it dark brown, then a month or so later, a light brown, and so on. This minimalises the damage to the hair. I really want to dress up as lady karen without using a wig, but... don't want to change my hair colour, boo.

My shadow? This must be a reference to one of Brian's books I haven't read yet.

Guess what I've been reading recently?

Hmmmm...?? ;)

Damn you, why didn't I think of that, it's my fave non-Nec book!

We might have a couple more dressing up... Michele and Michael from New York are thinking about it, gonna try to convince them!

Having a bit of trouble with my costume in that I can't seem to find anything to wear! I have a long black wig, would dye my hair but you can't dye fair hair black, it never looks right and I've never done permanent dye anyway.

I've been trying to find a suitable red dress, or one that will easily modify but no luck so far, may have to re-think!

Sophie

You've never used permenant hairdye... ever?? wow.. lol at least will never experience the greeny goodness after dying your hair too many permenant colours one after the other. Not done that for 5 years though. I haven't seen my natural hair colour all over my head for about the same amount of time. I'm glad I haven't either, its gross.

Only ever gone with wash out stuff which is fun, my hair is quite long so I couldn't bear to have to touch up roots all the time or have it cut when I got bored with the colour, or redye it!
