As a little forerunner to KeoghCon 3 I thought I'd just ask a simple question (it's in the subject heading ;) ), but one that maybe has many an answer.
Here goes...
What do you hope to take away from this years KC3? and what have you gained from being at previous one's, if indeed you've been before?
I'll let you all have a go first........... grin.gif

I was there last year and gained much. I met loads of great people, some of which have become good friends over the year and I've enjoyed being a part of this community ever since and intend to continue to do so.
I also had a fantastic time at the event with loads of laughs and interesting topics of conversation with like minded people. I came away with some new books which is always a good thing and on top of that I got some of my books signed.
I felt privalidged to actually see and hear Brian himself reading his work and the highlight of it all was meeting for the first time in my life someone who had made a great impact on my life and given me great pleasure through his book for years, of course I'm talking about Mr Lumley himself!
This year I hope to gain more of the same! I've been looking forward to it all year and can't wait to meet up with everyone again, meet some new people, get some more books signed, hopefully get some raffle prizes and generally have a good time!

This is my first Keoghcon so am really looking forward to it. Just to meet up with likeminded folk, have a beer and a chinwag - and to meet up with The Master himself, reckon I'll be a little tounge-tied! I've meet some of you guys, but it'll be good to put faces to names to the rest. I'm just can't wait really, the highpoint of the years events for me ....

Gutted last year as I had to leave early :( but it gave me a little a taste and showed me that your not all complete nutters.
Been mega excited since I read there was going to be a KC3 and I'm determined to last the whole weekend this time, definately the highlight of my year grin.gif

I'm hoping that I might win some raffle prizes this year, maybe even one raffle prize as for the last 2 years I've won nothing!
Seriously though, the last 2 years have been great, I wouldn't be coming back if it wasn't for all the great firends I've made, and of course you get to meet the man behind the books, and his lovely wife.
This year I'm looking forward to meeting W Paul Ganley, I've bought stuff directly from him on a couple of occasions, so it would be great to put a face to a name smile.gif
Last year was more fun than the previous year, but that's probably because we met during the year, and cemented friendships more.
Some new people from last year have become firm friends, who offer cake ;)
It's prudent to point out that, as Mr Lumley himself pointed out, there are so many people from such a diverse range of backgrounds that get on so well, could this happen under many other circumstances? I sincerely doubt it would work without this common interest.
I hope to see you all there again, and if it's not again, I hope to see the new folk also!

I'm hoping to gain at least 2 good old fashioned hangovers from this weekend.
Would be nice to win on the old raffle again but hey, you can't have everything you want. ;)

Brian and I are looking forward to seeing all the old familiar faces and greeting all the new ones.
Some of you folks we've known long before KeoghCon through various meetings in London.
What we gain at Keogh is meeting with old friends, getting to know new ones and generally a great weekend. Yes, even though KeoghCon itself is only one day more and more are making a weekend out of it.
See you all soon ... I'm working up a thirst for something nice... ;)

I know that some people will already be at the Con (lucky sods), but I was wondering if anyone was planning to go out on Friday night for a chinky or curry before we get into any serious schmoozing ?
From previous meets at the hotel, I can remember that the food was.....trying to be diplomatic here...okay, but a wee bit expensive !!

I'm hoping to gain some knowledge from everyone.
With all of these die-hard fans, who no doubt have some scientific background somewhere - why have we NOT discovered the secrets of the Mobius Continuum?!?!? I could be there right now with all of you if we can get this thing under control. Not to mention - we would all be multi-billionaires..... Let's get on it people.
If the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow - Africcan or European - can be calculated, why can we not do this? (if you are interested in the velocity answer - there is a website that claims the knowledgge) grin.gif
Have fun everyone, I'll be thinking of you. *hugs*
