Well guys. What another fantastic Keoghcon weekend. Once again I had the Sunday morning Deja Vu of little sleep and the alcohol paralysis. smile.gif

Cheers to everyone. It was great to see the usual crew and new faces like, Colin, Gayle, John, Carol and Patrick. Plus my first meeting with webmaster Dave. Great to meet you Dave. I'll be putting the Shadow wolf image on me list of to dos.
Gareth sorry about completely dissing your spiderman, oh sorry Transmetropolitan tattoo. smile.gif Seriously it was great to meet you.

I think the word of the con was Mamjalade. Watch your supermarket shelves for this product, endorsed and sponsered by metal outfit Man O War(new name Mamjalaw)

Thanks to everyone. I tried to do as many drawings as able before the aforementioned alcohol paralysis. If anyone was missed out drop me a line and I'll try and sort out something via the marvels of the postal service. Seriously there are a couple of promises not fulfilled.

Thanks most of all to Brian Silky and Debs. As usual a supremely professional Convention. I'm dead depressed to be home now which is a good sign of how great this weekend was. A major landmark of my year. Although it may take me a year, to wrestle, to the dark recesses of my mind, the delights of Keiths desert Island.

Baaaaaaa!!!!

Roll on Keoghcon V.

Me and Dave have just got home after 8.5 hours on the road and we're off out for a curry!

I'll post more later.

Home safely at last, more train delays - but what was I thinking expecting to get home on time!

I must say thanks to Brian, Silky and Debs for making this whole thing possible, it ran like clockwork and the venue was very nice indeed with very friendly staff who sacraficed their sleep for us, now that's commitment to your customers!

Thanks again to Brian and Silky for allowing us to see their home, that was an amazing experience which left me feeling very much in awe, and very priviledged indeed.

The panels were all very entertaining with lots of interesting points raised and one or two disturbing ones as well!

It was great meeting new people as it always is, we had lots of good laughs and of course catching up with those who I've already shared many a laugh with in the past was a pleasure as always. It was especially nice to meet Shadoewolf in the flesh, he's a fantastic guy who I hope to see again next year.

Dave Kendall is now my best friend for putting some prints of his artwork in the raffle - thank you very much! I managed to get them home undamaged and can't wait to get them framed and on my walls.

Thanks to everyone for being yourselves, I had the best time ever and am looking forward to seeing you all again next year, or sooner!

And I still haven't been to bed yet!

Well..we eventually got up to Newcastle after 10 hours travelling most of which was hour-long queues on the M5 but it was worth it... Great meeting everyone again.. Many thanks to Brian and Silky who made my Millenium, Debs of course, the one and only Keith Grant Evans, Dave Kendall and Phil (for a fantastic tarot reading) and everyone who made us so welcome... can't wait for next year... dead depressed to be going to work now but got to replace the pennies I spent.
It was great to see faces old and new.
Hope you all got home safe and sound.

Back to normality! What a cracking weekend that was .... other than the train journeys.

It was great meeting up with everyone and enjoyed the many discussions and debates that ensued. The discussion regarding Dave's picture for Sophie (the Teddy Autopsy) springs to mind ...especially the Lupine Lords input to the precedings! ;)

Thanks to everyone - Brian, Silky, Debs - and Dave Kendall, a top bloke. Its was good meeting Dave our esteemed webmaster as well, a real Gent.

It'll take me a while to get all my thoughts it order .. and may come back later with more ramblings then....

Lastly, great hotel, lovely location, great people - roll on next year..... oh and I feel very priveleged to have been the first to taste Phil's mamjalade on Sunday morn!!! ;) grin.gif

This was my best weekend this year ;) It was cool to meet everyone new, Pat, Edd, Colin, Gayle and not forgetting our new Americans pals John and Carol.

It was great to speak with Dave (webmaster dude) again, it's always a pleasure mate ;)

I think I'm forgetting the most important people who make this con what it is, Brian, Silky and Debs - they spend the time putting it together while the rest of us leech this off them, well thanks guy and gals, it was a real pleasure and a really good time smile.gif

I had 2 low points though this weekend, one of them was leaving all you people, my friends, something with I never like to do. My other low point was my journey after that, it took less time than Rixy to get back to London, but I was scared like I've never been scared before, the weather was so bad I couldn't see the road, however I got home in one piece, and went to bed, a very very tired man.

Thanks guys, and the ones of you I've not mentioned, well, you know who you are smile.gif

Catch you all soon, and anyone I made promises to (John/Carol), get in touch - I know I'll want to when in NYC next year.

What an absolutely fantastic weekend. Big thanks go to Brian, Silky & Debs for doing such a great job organising the whole thing. Brian & Dave were absolute stars, Brian signing as many things as were put in front of him and Dave for doing all the drawings which were uniformly stuning and I know everyone will treasure their ones (I'll get in touch about a painting). I was blown a way by the painting of Janos that Dave did for Keith.

I won't name everyone but you all made my weekend unforgetable, from Pete's toothbrush to Tops' teurets moments. Special mention must go to John, Carol & Dave who made it over from the US to be there and it was great to see you.

The panels were great. I was more than a little nervous going in as some of you might have noticed but once underway I developed an unhealthy desire to be on all of them, hopefully I made sense. I'll do them all next year as well:) Thanks go to Keith in particular for his great contributions to these, you can share my never ending wine lake on my Island as long as you share the sheep!!

The journey back was a bit of a nightmare but I had Dave, Debs and a cuddly Cthulhu for company. Dave I promise you there's more to England than Motorways and traffic jams. As Tops said the weather was dreadful but we got through it and after dropping Debs off in 'Sarf London me and Dave made it home. I took Dave out for his first Curry and I believe he enjoyed it, at least he didn't spend too much time in my toilet! So next year might have to include the inaugural KeoghCon '10 pints & a Vindaloo night'!

I dropped him at Gatwick this morning and as I post this he should be well over half way into his flight. Dave you can crash here next year, hopefully I'll have some furniture/carpets/beds etc.

Well thats about it I'm off to think about Mamjalade, Sheep, Hot Monkey Sex and Teddy Bear autopsies. It was a truly brilliant weekend and thanks to all of you for being who you are, you're the best.

Cheers

Andy

p.s. Colin your picking my raffle tickets next year!

Really great Con guys but I must appologise for being Mr Grumpy Guts on Saturday night as I was absolutely no fun and no good to anyone on what should of been the best night of all.

Truely sorry dudes, I'll try not to get so wasted on the Friday and save my reserves for the Sat in future.

Well, were back home now and looking forward to next year already.

The hotel was excellent. The staff made us all feel welcome and true to her word, Sue kept the bar open until the last of us left (at 5.00am).

We just want to say thanks to everyone for making this year better than last year (especially Tops for the great present) smile.gif

It was great to meet new members (John, Carol, Colin, Gayle, Ed and Patrick) who will hopefully be with us next year as well.

Sober... and a little less dazed and confused tongue.gif

It was a great weekend, and it was fabulous meeting our new convention converts, and getting to know everybody else even better.

It will forever be known as The Weekend of Mamjalade. Thanks to everybody, I don't think I've laughed so much in a long time.

Last but not least thanks to our hosts; Brian, Silky and Debs for all the hard work. It was amazing

I hope I see all of you again soon before the next con

First off - thanks to Brian and Silky and Debs for making this past weekend as enjoyable as can be. Huge kudos to Bri and Silky for taking care of my room arrangements for me. and for dinner and lunch the first day over. It was excellent!!

The same to Debs for picking me up at the lovely Gatwick airport and waiting around for over an hour while immigration tested my patience. Also for getting me a pillow to lay my head on Sunday night. ;)

Of course, then thanks go to Rixy for not only driving me back from the Con but also to the airport on Monday and letting me a place to sleep for the night, even if it wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world. It didn't matter Rixy, as I told you - I was too tired to notice anything at all! LOL!

Cheers to everyone who happened to buy me a drink, or borrow a fag, or lend me a light, or help me get a crap exchange on my dollar bills in town. smile.gif Cheers to Dave Kendall for doing the first drawing of the night for me on my Autograph card and just for being a great guy.

It was great seeing all my old friends - Tom, Phill, John, Paul, Kieth and Sarah, John and Carol, Keith Grant and Jane, and of course Mark, who just couldn't help getting some video footage that will never see the light of day.

And if I missed anyone or forgot anything important - I apologize - everyone was top notch. This was an amazing time and I realize how much I missed the last two years not being over. It was great to meet the newcomers, Colin, Patrick, Ed and Gayle. And then there was the 'old' crowd who I never had met - Joanne and Sharon, Pink Shirt Peter smile.gif , Sophie, Red Willow and Gareth, and Lupa.

My gosh - there just isn't enough room to get all this in! Well, they always say a picture is worth a thousand words and I've got a few thousand words worth that will be posted. grin.gif

So other than the highway system in the UK being total crap, heh heh, it was a wonderful time. My first curry was good and I'll take you up on staying with the furniture next year Rixy! smile.gif

"ARSE!"

Heh heh, don't you hate those little silences and now I can't have one and not think of saying arse! grin.gif Cheers All!

Well i think i've just about recovered now even though i've had to buy some advocaat for more snowballs! Thanks to everyone for making it marvellous, particularly Silky, Brian and Debs (of course!) It was great to meet the newbies and to not be one myself this year and of course to meet up with all you other crazies again. I'm pretty sure that last weekend will always stay with me-no matter how much therapy i have, ham sandwiches with pickle, teddy bits and sheep in particular. Can't wait for next year especially as the hotel and surroundings were so nice-couldn't believe they stayed up!! Hopefully come down earlier next time and have a look round the town. All in all it was wonderful...again! Missing you all already and next year i'll bring my whip too!!!

We just got in last night,we spent the end of the week in London.
We went every where, from one end to the other, well,it felt like we did.

Although being "NEWBIES" to the Con we did not feel like it,we were made to feel very welcome,at home and we want to thank everyone.

We would like to thank a few people by name like Brian & Silky for their help with our travel arrangments and for the gifts from Brian.

Debs, if not for her hard work along with Silky there be no KeoghCon.

Keith & Sarah, what can I say, Thanks again.

The Ginger Wookie for the sketch or for a treasure, which is what I like to call it.

UNTIL NEXT TIME JOHN & CAROL
