I do have hotel bookings coming in so I would suggest you start booking your rooms now so as not to be disappointed.
I am sorry there is a deposit required. This has been requested by Sue. There where 11 last minute cancellations for which there was no deposit taken so Sue lost money. The deposit being asked is minimal and on a per room basis as opposed to per person. For other bookings Sue requests double that on a per person basis.
I have promised to try to give you your requested room, and I will if at all possible. I don't expect to have to juggle anyone around but if I do it will only be out of necessity.
I want to thank those of you who booked early so far. Your payment will be required in one month of your booking. Anyone who books now, deposit is required within two weeks. You can contact me for payment details and I'll give you the options.
The sooner you book the more chance you have of getting your requested room.
Once again I must state that all hotel bookings go through me. If you call the hotel they will only refer you back to me.
For those of you who are booking for Friday and Saturday or Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The following will not pertain to you. You can rest easy.
Important Note For Anyone Who Wants A Room For Thursday Night Or Earlier: Please, do not try to get a room for Thursday night or earlier this far in advance. I have folks that want to come from outside UK that want a room for Thursday night and can't get it. If there are any rooms to be given out on Thursday night ... I have priority on those rooms first. Even if we could fill the hotel on Thursday Sue wouldn't do it because if a coach wants to come in and she can't give them Thursday she loses the money for Mon., Tues., and Wed.
I realize it's difficult for those who want to be there on Thursday (or earlier) and I really wish I could accommodate you. It would certainly make the administration on my part much easier as I wouldn't have to offer alternate accommodation. And like I said previously, I need three rooms for the Thursday but I can only have two. So you can understand why I ask you not to try to get a room out of Sue this far in advance.
A week before the con if she doesn't get a coach group in I know she'll be more than happy to give you a room before Friday, but you will have to do this through me also, not the hotel. Sue and are are working together on this but if you try to go over me and book earlier days with Sue, she won't know what room number you are in for the weekend and it will only cause confusion. You wouldn't necessarily have the same room throughout your entire stay.
Once again, I do apologize for any problems this might cause you.
