Hello All ... Time to report in.

Yee haw ... I am happy to say that there are only two hotel rooms left.

Things are rolling along smoothly I'm also happy to say.

Spoke to Bob & Marianne the other day and they are so looking forward to attending.

Allen & Chris Koszowski will be attending and their daughter Victoria will be joining them. Victoria may bring a friend but we aren't sure yet.

Also it is pretty much confirmed that Frank Festa will be attending again as well as Helmi Sigg.

And we've got 6 or 7 newbies this year to initiate or victimize. One of the new attendees names is Vincent Price, no joke ... I checked to make sure Sophie wasn't taking the mick. grin.gif

If everyone that has booked shows up then we've really got a super attendance this year.

Sadly to say Shadoe won't be able to make it this year and also Peter Clarke may not make it. Things happen but we all know they will surely be missed!

Only six months left, so any time you want to start getting those membership is please do so.

Also, I know Debs is very busy this year so when you pay her do drop me a line to let me know you have paid your memberships so I can add you to the Official list. Sometimes Debs posts to me go missing and I'm left out of the loop.

Anyone counting the days yet? I can't afford to count days yet ... way too much still left to do ... yipes!

Silky

Hey Sil...

You mean roll on end September! ;)

You had me running to check my calendar... September 30 ... heck ... we are cross over this time around.

Silver
May 12th, 2006, 01:51 AM
Sorry, of course I do.

It's because I booked more time off work recently for it in October, I'd already booked the last few days in September for it but I decided I'd need more recovery time after!

Silky
May 12th, 2006, 11:45 AM
Ahhhhhh, yes. I definitely know what you are talking about when you say recovery time! grin.gif

Not this year..I'm going to be good!

May 12th, 2006, 05:33 PM
I will be good. I don't drink anymore.

Silky
May 12th, 2006, 09:19 PM
Wow, guys. I wasn't referring to boozing ... I was referring to recovering from all the work before and during the con... ;)

But there's nothing wrong with being good and not drinking. I rarely touch the stuff any more. I just like drinking my diet coke/pepsi. When I'm in the States its always fresh brewed iced tea. The only iced tea you can get over here is in a tin or bottle, instant. Yuck! But I've turned Brian onto it as well. I do make a lot of it in the summer though, nice for quenching the thrist poolside...

actually, I lied smile.gif I do like liptons iced tea... never had fresh. would like to though ;)

Silver
May 12th, 2006, 10:34 PM
I didn't mean recovery time from boozing, I very rarely need that but if past experience is anything to go by I may be very tired!

Fresh iced tea, never had it either!

I've started drinking water by the litre, lost 1.5 stones so far and feel great ( great stuff water!!!), but I think I might succumb to a little booze in September to oil the joints grin.gif

I find that the easiest way to stop yourself being tired is to actually go to bed at some point during the Con smile.gif

Hope this helps you Silver

Silver

How would you know, you're usually up for the duration and don't go to bed!

Silver
May 25th, 2006, 01:52 AM
Allen and Chris are still coming? That's great news, thought they might not be able to make it with his recent health trouble

Silky
May 25th, 2006, 10:10 PM
As far as we know they are still coming. They most definitely want to be here. Their daughter, Victoria, is coming as well. We'll keep our fingers crossed.

They are in the process of moving now from Pennsylvania to Florida.

See you all next year

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend. A N Other has decided she wants holiday away. It would have been my first KC, too! It would've been sooo cool to meet new friends (sic) and have new drinks n chats etc!! Maybe next year - with luck. Hope you all enjoy - silly statement I expect!.

Why don't you holiday in Torquay, it's a beautiful place!

John & Paul
July 4th, 2006, 12:56 AM
You want to go to Torquay Chris, we're going down for a holiday again this year...it's like being abroad it's so nice. We're there for nearly a fortnight, going on a helicopter ride a boat trip and some sightseeing and of course the obligatory searching bookshops for old Lumley books. That's old books by Brian not books by old Lumley!!! lol

Chris Banks
July 4th, 2006, 12:21 PM
Couldn't agree with you guys more. The total irony of the situation is that I live about 45 mins drive from Torquay too! Last time I was there was to see Del Amitri at The Riviera (Don't ask - I'm more Slayer/Metallica) . Anyway, I digress.
Come hell or high water, I'm going to do everything I can to get there next year. Patience is a virtue, they say! We'll see. Thanks for your encouragement though. Much appreciated.

Only 45 minutes away and you're absolutely certain you can't make it?? That really is rubbing salt into the wound! In fact we could all come round to your place and kidnap you!

DC 1
July 5th, 2006, 02:41 PM
I must warn you now Chris. Silver has had training in Commando Raids at last years Con.

She may well kidnap you.

Chris Banks

It's a great thought, but I think you would encounter some resistance from The Lady! My own army training pales into insignificance with her combative skills!!!

She may resist but I have a highly trained army behind me who are all experienced raiders. Last year we encountered hostility that was primal, we almost lost at least one of our number during that battle but eventually we succeded with no casualties!

What ho Silver, I'd say that sounds like fighting talk where I come fom (so it's a good job I moved, really! grin.gif ) All this relentless bombardment (!) may see me having to buckle under the pressure!!!!!!!!

well how about coming over for the friday night with your fine lady and just having a drink at the hotel and meeting everybody? I'm sure Brian and Silky would love to meet you too.
It's a thought smile.gif

Chris Banks
July 6th, 2006, 07:46 PM
Er.... fine lady!! OK! Believe me, I am trying to get OUR priorities sorted out here. A bit of blokey niceness and a bottle of Martini & I'm sure I can bend her to my will!!! Failing that, I may have to abandon HER plans for a holiday (I know not where yet - she so secretive) & just turn up anyway.
It's gotta be worth the HD & Quartering I'll get for the next few months afterwards. Plus it'll give me the opportunity to put faces to names (even both of yours, John & Paul tongue.gif - And Tops owes me a pint smile.gif ) and test drinking capabilities all round. Hopefully will have positive news soon. I'm trying my BEST to wangle out of it. Watch this space, as someone irrelevant once said! ;)
