am i just a little slow in the head or did there used to be a place on here that said a couple of different bands that had written music about the nec series. scratch that, I know there was, but I'm not finding it now.

I actually went and bought one of the cd's. The epoch of unlight: what will be has been
not a bad cd.

basically I was wondering if anyone knew of any other music based on any of Lumly's works

if you do please post here, or e-mail me
MeierxLink@yahoo.com
any and all info will be greatly appreciated

ya, check it
band
Epoch of Unlight
album title: What will be has been
Tracks:
Ad Infinitum
Burning As One
Crimson Might (and Glory)
...What Will Be Has Been
The Day The Light Hath Died
Undone Within

(From Northern Aeries to) The Infinite Cycle of The Unborn Lord

Silver Mistress
Conflagration of Hate
Immortal Crucify

and the really crazy thing is the drummer wrote the album. it also throws in some refrences to Anne rices sissy vamps. But over it's a good album if you're into black metal at all. Lotsa blast beats and such. REALLY REALLY fast
vocals are kinda...orcish? but I enjoy it. and I'm on the hunt for more

oh ya....does anyone play? I've all but finished my little basement studio, I'm just waiting on the arrival of cakewalk sonar 3. Then my music making will really take hold and fly.

Putting my moderator hat on to remind everyone that unless it relates to Brian's work (which it does so far ;) ), music is off-topic here! No straying...!

There's also the Downliners Sect CD, which has a voice-over by Brian Lumley himself on one or two of the tracks (been over a year since I heard any, so forgive my rusty memory!)

Oooooh I love it when your being all bossy and domineering GG, it suits you grin.gif

You used to be able to listen to something by the Downliners Sect somwhere on the web site, but I'm not sure if you still can though.
Personally not my cup of tea, but hey whatever floats your boat.

It's in Audio Files, in Xtras, along with some of Brian's readings.

ok, I just listend to a portion of that downliners sect stuff. oh wow. Uhm. Not quite what I was looking for. But thanks.

I was thinking of maybe writing a song or two about the titus crow series. I would do one on the necroscope series (and maybe I still will anyway) but it seems the easiest and most likely for someone to do. And it's been done already. But I don't know. We'll see.

thanks again Goth Girl for the info.

Best advice before you do anything related to Brian's work musically - contact him and ask for permission and explain what you are planning on doing. Just make sure of all the legal ins and outs before you spend a lot of time working on anything.

Good luck! smile.gif
