I've come to the conclusion that it's the spore.

The original Wamphyri, Shaitan, was infected by the spores from the dead body that was Harry Keogh who was also infected by the spores of Faethor Ferenczy.

But Faethor was the "end" of the circle, IMHO. Shaitan was the "beginning," and Harry was both.

Either way, I think it's the spore.

I believe you must consider it's brother chicken/egg question... for if the egg came first, it would not have anything to take care of it, and it would die, but, in the leech/egg scenario, the egg does not need anything to take care of it. So I must therefore, rationally(as rationally as a mentally unstable person can be) consider the spore... well, my conclusion, is also the spore... but, you never know I suppose, it could be any of the above. :confused:
