Necroscope Knowledge Eye Vee now closed.

I'm pretty sure Lady Karen has the torch. Might want to let the ancient1 confirm before going though...

The rules (again) for any new recruits or short term memory loss sufferers.

*Once you have answered a question correctly, you are then next in line to ask a question of the rest of us.

*Please wait until your answer is confirmed as correct before moving on with your question. Usually this is done by the asker, but on occasion, that person is away and it can be confirmed by someone else. (But only after looking it up to be sure it is right.)

*Necroscope questions only in this thread. The "Lumlian Jeopardy" thread is where questions for other books should be placed. (If you can get a turn. )

*Don't be shy about taking guesses if you want. Even the most knowledgeable Lumlian around here has made an ass of his/herself. (Except those who're too scared to play! )

Um.... Um..... "BloodBrothers".... not sure of the exact page. :D
Lupe was the wolf that attacked Shaitan a couple of years after he was "infected" with vamirism. This was during his first encounter with Sunsiders after living with the Trogs for 2 years I believe. The other gentlemen was the one with the wolf (Lupe) tracking Shaitan... or whom he called "Master" after. :D
Correct?

Lady Karen
January 24th, 2003, 12:36 PM
The one person i suspected would get it lol,
Yes Illya Sul was a watchman for the Szgany Hagi who with his wolf Lupe chased Shaitan from the town and became the first entirely human underling of the Wamphyri.

Two part question here....

Which individual was it that infected Lord Radu with the ailment that he carried with him to his "entombment" and exactly what was that ailment? :D ;)

Lady Karen
January 27th, 2003, 10:36 AM
It was the black death which Radu contracted in a fight with Faethor Ferenczy in 1348.Radus leech could not cure him while he was active in the world, and he was obliged to retire. :D

This is one that defies my severe lack of memory... and need to post daft, wry and inane comments in here...

It was the Evening Star... I can remember trying to decide if there was some hidden meaning in that name...

Edit:

I'll learn to read the questions properly in future... The survivor's name was Nikolau Rassu or something... I think... maybe! lol

Thanks - and sorry to others, I just realised how quickly I answered that one after it was posted...

I'd like to say I answered it so there'd be a different name up here posing a question, but truth is it isn't often I can recall names etc so I was chuffed when I saw I could!

Anyways - to the Question...

In Necroscope V: Deadspawn (though not in the Companion) one of the Lords banished to the Icelands gets to recount his history - how he BECAME Wamphyri.

Trouble is Wamphyri are troublesome beings at the best of times (the rest of the time they're out and out liars!) and he gives TWO different stories of how he ascended.

Who was this Lord of Liars, and can you remember what the two stories were?

Canker

AHHHHH... that's a gooood question. :D
It's from one of my favorite times during the whole Necroscope series and yet I cannot remember myself. tongue.gif
Excellent questions though! ;)

Danke Canker...

I do try, though some would say I'm just trying! lol

Bonus question, can someone explain why the menus on the side are opening and closing as random as I'm typing this - I think my brower's haunted!

Exsanguinator
February 2nd, 2003, 11:53 AM
Time for a clue methinks...

If your edition of Deadspawn has the last page of the novel on page 584 then this will help - if not then I'm not sure! lol

Arikis Leperson's first explanation fo his heritage is on page 179, the second within a mere few pages of that... more I cannot say.

Hope this helps..?

Lady Karen
February 3rd, 2003, 08:42 PM
ok i got the book out though not the companion lol,i also waited a few days before answering.
The first account is that Arkis Leperson was the recipient son of his father Radu Arkis. In son he was a traveller lieutenant who more than a century ago found favour in Radus eyes and was now Arkis Leperson as he carried his egg.
The second is that Arkis had beeb sired Morgis Griefcry out of a traveller waif.Shed been a leper and her infection had taken Morgis in his member which had been the first of his parts to slough. Finally when the disease took its hold he committed suicide and left Arkis the youthful lord and heir to the aerie.

OK, willl have to think about this... I know the rules, but can I ask a non-necroscope question that is Brian Lumley related? Nate whould be the one to answer this as this thread really is his baby!

What was the name of Francesco and Antonio's female servant and the name of her son?

Goth Girl
February 11th, 2003, 11:32 AM
Just had a thought (no, it's not my birthday...!)

When looking at questions and answers in this thread, please bear in mind that there may be spoilers...

My last question has prompted this, as the answers come from separate books, one of which is from one of the last books in the whole series, which not everyone might have read.

You can't say you weren't warned!! ;)

Silver
February 13th, 2003, 07:33 PM
I think the name of the servant was Katerine or Katerina, and her son must have been Luigi Castellano (not sure I spelled that right)

February 17th, 2003, 06:44 PM
Sorry Gorh Girl it's not him

PS. I only used the Companion for quick reference to spelling for the answer, for when someone gets it, I know spelling isn't important but I like to get it right when I can!
