If I remember right, Brian said that Wamphyri was pronounced Vam-fear-ee, corrections are welcomed. ~chuckle~

Never have been sure how to pronounce Szgany and Thyre, however. Have I left any out? Any other words that have a questionable pronunciation?

I always said Spiro like mirror. Never really thought about pronouncing it the other way!

How's Germany? Lots of Lumley books floatin' around?

They are finally translating the books! "Hero of Dreams" and "Ship of Dreams" is already out, as well as "Necroscope" 1-5 and "Vampire World" 1. But it´s a pity that they are splitting the books up; they make two to three books out of one. This way, they are far more expensive, 11 Euro per book. Next month, the first part of "The Last Aerie" will be out, I´m looking forward to it, although I already read all the "Necroscope"-books in English.
Reading them in German now is great but I prefer the English ones. Sometimes they translated it rather bad.

But the covers for the German publications are beautiful! The German publisher is hopefully coming to KeoghCon V later this year, I'm very much looking forward to meeting him.

(And personally I pronounce Spiro like Spy-ro... funny how we all have different ways!)

Hello Silky, I have been an avid fan of Brian for some time now. I have a friend who is blind and I would love to share Brians work with him, however, I can not find any audio books from Brian. How about some advice. Thanks. Darrell Dunn USA

Sorry to barge in Silky...!

Dunnthat; check out the store section of this website, Audio (http://www.brianlumley.com/store/cd.html) for this box set of excerpts on CD. I have this myself, and it's fab... hopefully suitable for your friend. Enjoy!

I wish I had never read the correct pronunciation for Keogh. I always said it like 'cough', which might be wrong but I'm sooo used to it now.

huh, i'd never even thought of that! funny how our minds work differently! A lot of the time if i can't think how to pronounce it i don't try and just make a noise in my head and recognise the word later!!!
