Whats going on all. I am fairly new to the message board but have been a long time Lumley fan. My question is has anyone ever thought of doing your own fan film? There is always a lot of talk on who what play what in a hollywood movie, but what about getting some other Necroscope readers together and doing a film. With a little creativity it may be fun. I've often thought how much work would go into doing a small fan film myself. If you got the time there are great fan films all over the internet based on a variety of books, movies and video games.

Hey there. This is my first post as I only signed up yesterday but long time reader.
I too have toyed with the idea of creating a fan film but came up with the same hurdles that hollywood types probably came up against over the years. ie the level of cgi required to make the more complex of wamphyri traits seem realistic.
There are obviously many smaller tales within the saga that one could focus on however I've always come to the conclusion that if you do not include some amount of wamphyri characters (and what in real life would be quite captivating yet horrific aspects of their being/transformations) you really would be selling the whole tale short. This applies to wamphyri vs keogh/ebranch on earth and wamphyri vs dweller/dwellersire/szagony on sunside and would be like david and goliath without goliath.
This having been said I am sure there are ways of making things work, maya is relatively easy to use it seems. ;)
Anyone else have ideas? I have a few semi prepared stories

I think the main issues would be copyright and permission. I personally wouldn't dream on starting such a project without a nod from the right direction!
Hope I don't sound too negative... I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but there's more to it than just having the ideas and the talents. And I'm not just saying that because I have neither! ;)
