Just bought a new computer. AND HAVE FINALLY GOTTEN TO READ THE NEWSLETTER!!
Good gawd, what a pain an outdated computer can be...
It was great to read about the Con... again. Well, not great, I guess, but good, and pics will make it even better when Shadoe gets 'em up... not quite like being there, true, but oh well. Those Cons do just get better and better, huh?
So what's the speculation on the new Necroscope book? Who're the players? People we know? Anyone got any ideas?

WTF?!?
Didn't Brian give any clues about this at KeoghCon?
No one brave enough to ask?
Or is it classified information?

No speculation at all? Anyone even excited?

Brian did "TOUCH" upon it, a short reading, and to be honest i don't remember to much more then the gory parts, bodies inside out, stuff like that.
I don't think there was much talk about it, the only thing i heard him mention was that it involves E-branch and aliens.
and he did mention to me it could be about a year.
I can't wait.

I'll get more excited about this as the year draws on... I don't get excited about anything way before - no point - for me atleast.
As for the film, that I wont discuss either.

I'll be honest N8 I spent most of my time at the Con trying to get info out of Brian and although he did give me clues and bits and bobs, he mostly just smiled and told me to wait and see.
He did say that the bad guys are from an alternate dimension who can make there own portals through to our world, and that they come equipped with all sorts of new and frightning psychic powers.
Its based in the 19 years between Deadspawn and Blood Brothers, plus Harry does have a small cameo.
As for anything else I havn't got a clue and I'll be frank and say that even some of the above maybe inaccurate.

Inaccurate or not, that's the stuff I was lookin' for! Thanks!
Sounds pretty interesting...
When I first got word of The Lost Years, and heard about the time frame and scenario, I couldn't figure out how he'd make it all fit. I was even a bit skeptical! Here I am with that same feeling again, if not to the same degree. It was great to be proven wrong so brilliantly then and I know deep down that he'll do it again for us this time!
Damm tight-lipped geniuses...

Brian definitely use the word aliens when i heard him talk about it.
Nathan

Shoot, with Brian there ain't no tellin' what an 'alien' might be! Hell, the Wamphyri could be called aliens! Whatever type of aliens they are, I'm sure they'll be brutal! I'm glad to hear they have portals and not your typical flying saucers!
And what types of psychic powers you think are left?! Dude's already come up with more of 'em than I ever could've dreamt up!
This is looking better and better!

Yeah kind of like that but more like what happens to the pig type thingy in Galaxy Quest, you know a bit of shuddering and he's still kind of alive and then he sort of explodes  all over the coppers (policemen) that have found him.

FrostD,
We get our info from 2 places, and I'm willing to share them both.
Firstly, most of us pay the subscribtion fee to the board, which gives us access to the newsletter, and ultimately the news news on anything Lumley - you might call it the inside scoop!
The other "source", well, lots of us go to KeoghCon, which is a once a year event held in Torquay (UK), where we can get Brian drinks, and he'll throw us a few tidbits of info!
More info on KeoghCon can be foudn here:

I hope this helps,

Nothing like the two flicks...
As I've had the entire novel read to me ... I know ... the things I have to suffer...
This much I will tell you:
Necroscope: The Touch
1. A female alien.
2. A Starside wolf.
3. A new ... you'll have to wait and see... ;)

Hi...This is my first post here...
Anyway..I cant wait for the new novel, and I also cant wait to get my hands on Harry Keogh and Other Weird Heros.
As far as The Touch goes, to me, with aliens from an alternate dimension who can create their own worm holes into our world, it sounds very much like the TV show Sliders, especially in the last few seasons where the Kromags became the major 'bad guys.'
Still, any slant that Mr. Lumley can put on it, including vampires, Necroscopes, walking dead, psychic abilities, perhaps psychic wars etc will completely blow any similarities to anything else out of the water.

I think that alternate dimensions are already well enough established in the Necroscope Multiverse as to preclude comparisons at least until we've had chance to read it... Besides it is all speculation, the odd snippet does not a plot make! lol
Nice to meet you, Jarrod, hope to see more of you on the board... blush.gif )

I thought there wouldn`t be more books than 13.
Forgive my ignorance, but i have read only first 5 yet, and I loved it. But is any author capable of creating 13+ books in single series with maintaining high quality?

You really say that later books are better than Deathspeak? It is good than Lumley does better job then Robert Jordan.

The three books in the Vampire World series are absolute masterpieces! Theyre awesome separately, but flow seamlessly into eachother so that they could very well be contained in the same volume (a LOTR affair, only readable).
Deadspeak was one of my favourites too, still is, but The Last Aerie (VW:2) holds that crown. Mmm.
And as for the new book, i really cant wait! I finished 'Avengers' thismorning, so ive read all the Necroscope books apart from the lost years, im hankering after some more tongue.gif

I am more than hapy to know there is another necroscope book coming out but I'm wondering how it can fit in. The lost years worked because (!!!!!!SPOILER!!!!!!) of the memory thing with harry and then most other people being killed. But how on earth can you fit in aliens from other dimensions that turn people inside out? Since it is supposed to involve E-Branch and there is so many of them you'd think someone would mention it happening; eg "oh yeah remember when john was turned inside out and we found out he only had one kidney". I am looking forward to this and to see how it ties in.
Anyone got a clue on when about it will be out? next year I'm thinking, and hope |:

I wonder if the inside out people could have anything to do with getting caught in the way of an alien wormhole forming rather than any malevolent intent. After all, thats what happened to the poor slobs at Perchorsk......
