Hi !

I'm very angry. Brian Lumley is hardly ever published in my country. They prefer the Masterton (beurk) stories, always the same, never the best (Brian). I hope the french publisher will understand the high quality of the Brian Lumley's saga.
We only have translated the first and second books of Necroscope and the third ??????????? not yet.....
Brian Lumley is the creator of new Vampire archetype. They are three moment in Vampire story, first the dualistic Vampire story (it's the pathos of the Brian Stoker story, between the bielief et the damnation, moralist story, a symbolic circle with a religious resolution)
Second, the "Kierkegaardian vampire story" (Anne Rice) who has dethrone the classical Vampire to the past. It's the cration of th modern vampire story, without religious reference. The duality is purely existential, desesperate. The influence of Sorjen Kierkegaard is one of the philosophical influence upon the caracter. God is dead, and this acknowledgement of failure concern the humanity and the Vampire too.
Third, "The Nitzschean Vampire Story", the best innovation of all the fantastic genre. Brian create a new connection with the supernatural. The Vampire is not an damned, purely outcast, fighting for his redemption or submissive to his deviant nature. The Brian Lumley vampire is no more a deviant, he is a stupefiant species, without sentimentalst pathos. He is omniscient without culpability. They live in a parallel universe, like darks lord of an curious country, masochist and violent. Withe Necroscope saga, brian Lumley the best vampire story but in France, it's the stone age, and the publisher prefer to publish the writing of Graham Masterton. So Masterton make too many story like to the fast food, and his story are not very good to reed. Please, Brian make an a miracle and publish your writing in France. Our fans are very sad to do not reed your books in french language.......

WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP YEAH let em have it TWOGUNBOB, I've no idea what you just wrote but stick it to those frenchie publisher types demand that they publish Necroscope in french YEAH WHOOP WHOOP (right thats enough whooping I'm begining to sound American)

I obviously understand that you yourself are french, and my Frenchie comment is in no way meant as a racial slur on your fellow countrymen (and women)

Note to any American bretheren, my earlier insinuation that Americans whoop a lot is obviously brought about by the fact that I watch to much Jerry Springer etc on TV and have a distorted view of the great peoples of north America and I would like to make it clear that again no offence was intended and I love you all (but not in the gay way, I wanted to make that clear aswell so as not to worry Dave ;) )

Very astute observations there, dude! It's obvious you're a long-time fan of the vampire, and even more obvious you've got great taste!

If you haven't seen it already, CLICK HERE (http://www.brianlumley.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=12;t=000093;p=1#000 000). Now that they've published those first two I'm sure it'll just be a matter of time before you get 'em all...

Check in here once every month or two and your wish just may be granted!
