THERE ARE BIG SPOILERS IN THIS, WATCH OUT!
Right, I'm on my 3rd read of Necroscope v and the most obvious thing just slaped me across the face. Harry is a vampire now, he doesn't have a "cure" and isn't gonna have one soon. Some of his last cts before leaving are bringing back a telepath from the dead. Well when the person is burnt and resurrected, say they were to have a vampire, the two are seperated. So why doesn't Harry just tell Jordan what to do with aid of the telepathy, just in case, and do that?! 'tis so FRUSTRATING! Please tell me if I have missed something here...

Are the host and leech seperated though, Malinari? I suppose if you cut the leech out and then burnt Harry and resurected him, he would be vampire free.
Aaahhhh but the tenacity of the vampire. I don't think that Harry would be able to let someone do him in while he is infected. Its just the nature of Wamphyri.
Besides, if it were me, I think I'd happily become Wamphyri. The power, the passions!

lol well I'm probably wrong there nyway, must re-read that bit again. But its just annoying how Harry has tried to wipe out all vampires, gets himself killed, gets infected, then dies again. He never even becomes a fully fledged vampire either, he's always teetering on the edge, never really letting himself go. At least if he'd become a vampire and raged round a bit and caused havoc I'd feel better.

The way I see it is that once your leech takes hold it becomes a part of you, maybe even another internal organ of sorts.
So just as those that Janos and Harry raised from ashes weren't separated entirely from their brain, heart, lungs, and intestines, etc., the same would also apply to their leech as well as their altered physical characteristics and personality traits.
Even if your separation theory were so, I don't think Harry could have simply passed on his necromantic knowledge to Trev Jordan anyway... Harry was only able to understand the process through his deadspeak, and even then it took awhile to perfect it.
At least that's the way I see it.

I don't think he would have wanted to give up his leech. Look at Karen and the process Harry put her through for example. Once that kind of power has been tapped it's seems there is no substitute.

Yes, the host and leech are separated:
Janos was put down this way. Deadspeak, pg.319 (US) starts Faethor's monologue to Harry on this subject. Faethor was a necromancer, and wouldn't teach Janos his way, so Janos discovered a way of his own (Janos had no natural talent for it).
So Faethor had him burned, then brought back up from the ashes. To quote:
"But I did know the answer to the riddle: in burning Janos I had burned TWO creatures, and raising him up again, I had also revitalized two-but in their separate parts!"

Janos's leech was seperated from him, with both being burn't seperatly yet he was still Wampyhri. Although the leech is a seperate thing in it's own right, the vampire essence, for want of a better word, was still in his D.N.A.
Also see Vampire World series, Vasagi has his leech cut out of him. He kept on breathing spores untill one took giving him a leech again, but even before he was still Wamphyri.
In my humble opinion.
