Yep, it's the actual launch so you'll be able to buy a book in situ, hence you only have to pay £1.00 entrance fee rather than £2.50.

See you all there!

March 28th, 2004, 03:26 PM
How about meeting at the Ben Crouch? If Tom and I are at Archway at 5:15, then we should be there about 5:45.

Have you guys been to the Ben Crouch Tavern before? The Eerie pub off Oxford Street closer to the Tottenham Court Road end...

Lagula Longarm
March 28th, 2004, 06:45 PM
We have been in there, but it was a long time ago, so we would appreciate directions smile.gif
If memory serves me right you go down Oxford street and it's on a side road on the right ?

topol_sheap
March 29th, 2004, 12:42 PM
err... if you're walking down from tottenham court road, walk past the Plaza, and it's on the road immediately on your righ-hand-side. walk up here for a minute or 2 (so you're walking alongside the plaza), and it's on the left hand side of the road. You can't miss it.

I can't remember the name of the road, but so you don't get lost it's also the road just before HMV (if you are walking from totenham cout road)

I think it's Wells Road... it's on the directly opposite side to Berwick Street, across Oxford Street.

March 29th, 2004, 10:03 PM
It's 77a Wells Street. It's about the only thing I remember from last time :)

I'd love to go but I've got the movers in on Frday as I'm puting all my stuff into storage while my house is gutted and basically re-built.

I'm a bit more flexible in my work this year so I should be able to make any drink up's in London.

And make sure your sitting down for this one....I'm all booked up for KeoghCon!!! I will actually be there in the flesh, barring any acts of God or Gods!

Enjoy yourselves on Thusday.

Did y'all have a good time guys??

topol_sheap
April 3rd, 2004, 08:52 PM
might have done grin.gif Yeah it was great... I had more than I planned to drink, but it was a great night, of which I think I spent a good portion of chatting to the great Nick Austin - great bloke!

Obviously it was great to speak with Brian and Silky, although I would have liked more time, but you can't have it all, now can you?

Oh, and it was obviously good to see all the Lumlians that attended (Debs, Keith, Sarah, Dean, Mandy, Charlotte, Gareth and KGE)...

Once again way too short, but better than nothing smile.gif

Loadsa fun! Brian and Silky... always a pleasure. And we got to see Deano and Mazrah's wedding snaps too, so beautiful.

Was fun meeting a couple of the other authors present too, I'm still excited about the discussion I had with Tanith Lee (and thank you Brian for the advice today... I will be doing that on Monday!).

Can't leave it til KCIV for the next meeting, will have to arrange something soon-ish
