Welcome to the forums - NOW - back to what you were saying about liking Necroscope?
What about it was your favourite part? Let's keep the threads on-topic folks. smile.gif

Have no fear, newcomer, for I, too, am but a 'newbie' (EGADS, it's been awhile since I could describe myself in such terms!) Having been dumped from my own world, I chose to inhabit this one instead...so far, I am enjoying my time here.
I have also been reading Lumley's works for more years than I care to admit here in print. Started in H.S., saw a used copy of Necroscope I in a flea-bag type bookstore, thought the skull on the cover was incredible...had to have it! (one of my strange habits...I collect skulls...) I've been hooked ever since.
As far as my 'favourite part' of the series, there are many, but one that stands out simply for humourous content is in the Resurgence bit...
"Did Alec like a drink? Did he ever!...Usually at home, because there he wasn't risking anything and he didn't have so far to fall into bed."
Having been there, done that, I can relate!

I know I shouldnt really say on here! but....is it worth taking out the elite option?!?!?!
Silver
January 17th, 2004, 09:46 PM
Hey Dan, in my opinion if you plan on spending a lot of time in here and want to get to know everyone in here better it is definitely worth taking the elite option, you get a lot more for a very small price.

Well, I probably shouldn't say here either, but yes, it would be a great idea to take the elite option.
How else you gonna read the newsletter? Much, much wisdom in there...

I don't see why the elite option shouldn't be talked about in the Newbie thread - how else are the newbies (sorry to call you that, I hate the term!) going to know how good it is?
Seriously well worth the tiny amount of money it costs per year.

Go for it! As well as getting access to the latest editions of the newsletter, don't you ever read some of the general topics in some of the other forums, and wish you could join in the fun? You'll get to know us all a lot better too... ummm, maybe I shouldn't say that, don't wanna put you off! LOL!

i think that if you don't opt for the elite option, it's not worth being on here at all.
