Several years ago I got a copy of The Last Aerie signed by Brian in a local shop, took pride of place in my collection.
Just got back from work to find the tattered piss soaked remains of that book in a soggy heap at the bottom of our house.
One of our numerous and beligerent cats (or was it all five?) has absolutely trashed it, didnt touch any other book just the signed one !!!!
Feckin animals, guess what we got for dinner ?
Here puss puss.

I would be totally gutted if that happened to me, maybe that's why I don't have pet cats!

cats are kids!! One of my requires constant company and attention, and screams literally when he doesn't get it :S
The classic he did was sh*t on one of my most collectible and expensive computer game box and manual. luckily the game was fine, but it was de-valued by the loss of the instruction manual.
Little <inserts a long list of swear words to your imagination> But he's my baba smile.gif

Nobody but an Ailuraphile understands an Ailuraphile, could be worse, Ive been attacked by Cheetah and Lion (cub) and been sprayed by a male Tiger. Give me warrior gases any day !

I used to have a cat a few years ago, it watered the video recorder for us with my ex-husbands favourite video inside it! Needless to say a few choice words were uttered from him and ever since there was a mutual distrust between the two of them.
Just one of the reasons we got rid of it!

Life is more fun with animals, all our cats are feral rescues and not exactly pets, the destruction is biblical but its only money (no Im not rich) and the company of animals is priceless.

Casey, my chubby chihuahua I had when I first joined here would chew on the spines of books if I fell asleep reading them. I have a few extra copies of some of the Necroscope books due to that..lol
The cats just tend to figure out the best place to lay is right between me and the book. Zeus is an 'It' so no territorial sprays or otherwise for me. And Pan, well, she's just Pandora.. her interests run into other things on a whim... and so far books aren't one of them.
