Taking my first step into Starside from the Hell-lands...
My name's Chris Gorman (hence, the alias/handle/avatar/etc.). I know it's out of keeping with the theme of the board and it's inhabitants, but I frequent a lot of boards and like to keep things simple. I'm 31 and have been reading Lumley's work since about '87 when Bob's skull cover reeled me in. I used to ride my bicycle to the bookstore and spend my lunch money (literally) on Brian's fabulously complex works of fiction. I've always been drawn toward the sci-fi/fantasy/gothic world and enjoy long, complex book series. Brian's work just clicked with me. Most people see a 800 page book on the shelf and move on without ever even looking at the synopsis. I'm the other way around...good or bad. The longer, the better.
