Until I can actually get the project up here is a sample of the design I've done at least.

This design will be on the back of the shirt but if I can get the right price I'll get word Nec with the strip placed on the front breast where you normally see them.

The shirt will be black with probably yellow/goldish print. The sizes will be large and extra large. I promise those of you who have asked that I'll check on the price of ladies tees. If I can't get a good price I'll try and get the medium in the mens. Also, I've enough requests for XXL so I will be offering those dependent upon the price but keep in mind they just might charge me more for those.

Once everything is finalized with a printer I'm going to see if I can get him to make me just one shirt of the order to check it out before he does all the rest. Then I'll be able to get all the information onto a web page and send it on to Dave. And I'll also scan a copy of the shirt so that you'll be able to see what you are getting.

I've got a shirt catalog but I'll need to know which shirt we are working with then I'll be able to post the chest sizes for M-L-XL-XXL because sometimes depending on the manufacturer they aren't always the same.

Okay, here are a few questions for you.

1. How many of you would be interested in shirts if it comes to pass?

2. And if so what size would you want?

3. What about a baseball cap with the word Nec and the strip on it? Not sure on this one. Depends on price and how many of you all would want them. Just another idea going around in my head.

Got to go now. My head is starting to buzz from too much activity...

Since George & I have two of the other T-Shirts that were done, of course will have to get two more! I like wearing mine with capri's, so both XL.. heh heh also if mine is in the wash I can wear his and it won't make any difference! Shhh, don't tell George!

I'd definatly be intersted in getting a T-shirt but it would all hinge on cost and whethere I could convince my mother it's reasonable. In the event that I could I'd take a large.

Goth Girl

I'd get the large... shame that the 'skinny' fit wasn't an option, that's my preference when buying band shirts (and yes, I can get into a skinny T-shirt, whether y'all believe me or not!)

I wouldn't go for a baseball cap personally, never wear them! but can imagine a lot of people going for it...

I don't wear the hats either but i thought it might look nice on the shelf with my other stuff.

Well after all the Christmas eating ...the bigger the better! So XXL or XL for me....

Not a hat wearer normally but I reckon I'd go for a Necro cap...

Cheers

Okay, on the XXL I'll see what I can do. When I go to the printer to check things out and he tells me everything is okay and it's a go then I'll ask about XXL. They might be more expensive than the XL and I'll have to check that out. But if they are the same price or only £2.00 more I could go with it.

Then I'll place my regular order but unfortunately anyone that wants XXL will have to pay for it first. I don't want to be stuck with any shirts I can't sell. I don't anticipate anyone leaving me in the lurch but sometimes unexpected things happen.

Now, girls, just what the heck is a skinny? Daaaaaaaa ... if it's too small a shirt the design won't fit on it.

They do have ladies shirts but I think they'll be rather expensive ... but let me know exactly what a skinny is. Obviously I don't wear them or I would know. Oh dearie me ... that means I'm too big ... Ha! I don't care...

And for those of you who asked about price ... as soon as I know you'll know. This post was just to get a general idea of who would be interested and I will keep the price as low as I possible can.

Thanks all of you for your input.

Skinny fit is really just more of a ladies T-shirt... they tend to be more fitted than a regular T, ie they curve slightly in at the waist rather than just straight down (more flattering I think!).

The term skinny is more for the shape than the size... I'm hardly what can be described as skinny, but I can wear them OK (she says wearing her 'one size fits all' recently purchased Laibach skinny T-shirt!).

I'd happily pay a few quid extra for one as I'd likely wear it a lot, but I'd probably get a standard Large T-shirt too!

(hey, my first post of the year!)

Okay, I'll check the ladies T out and see what kind of a price I can get.

I hope to get there some time later during the week. If not it will be the beginning of the next week. I want to get this project off the ground early.

Thanks GG!

I've got a catalog with shirts in it that the printer gave me and upon looking at it all L & XL aren't the same chest measurements in all shirts. So when I go I'll take the catalog with me and see exactly what shirt he showed me. Then I'll be able to post exact sizes for L, XL. I'll then check on the XXL and ladies. It might be that I can get M as well but that would require a payment up front just like the XXL.

All for now folks...

god it's been a long time since ive been on here.i'll take a large silky.if you dont want to get a artist involved why not have a book cover copied to a shirt.(but what cover to choose) all you should have to do is print out the pic and take it to them.

Silky
January 2nd, 2005, 11:31 PM
Yipes! Yes, that's a great idea ... but that could get a person sued ... that most definitely involves an artist. You'd have to get permission from both the artist and the publisher. ;) Read the inside of a book and see what it says about copying in any form.

For example, the avatar I use on the board is Bob Eggleton art from Avengers. Don't think for one minute that I didn't get permission from Bob to use it. Even though there was no money involved you always ask permission.

I wanted a project that only involves me getting permission from Brian. A simple business deal. No middle man. Me getting the money I ask for and then the tax man getting his share. That's it. Easy peasy.

Although a joint collaboration of artist and author is great. I'm neither ... just me. I can create from Brian's work only.

This is a big perhaps...

Perhaps Bob would be interested in doing a skull, something completely new, for the Necroscope T-shirts? Something that could be used for the movie as well...But that would, of course, involve a middle-man...Just throwing out ideas.

Silky
January 3rd, 2005, 03:49 PM
Look, please, let's put the lid back on the can of worms that has been opened.

We have to forget the idea of involving any artist.

Brian's artwork of the Mobius strip is enough. Brian is happy with the shirt as it is. And he is artist enough for me.

And as for the movie folk, they'll have their own ideas.

I probably won't get there this week as I had hoped but I'm definitely going next week.

And I will keep the price as low as possible. Once everything goes through I'll actually be able to get the info on the site and can officially start taking orders.

Considering I love the strip enough to get it tattooed on my back, I'd absolutly Love a shirt. XL. But I am in the states, so.. shipping costs much?

another awkward vote of medium skinny fit! I'd be happy with a normal large to wear to bed/slob around in though.

One large for me... I am also a states girl so such info as has already been mentioned would be good for me as well.

Hey, I'd take a shirt for Necroscope if it had a monkey on it throwing bananas, as long as it has Necroscope on there somewhere. tongue.gif

I'm a youngin'...Medium here.

Blimey ... I intended to get to the shop today but I don't know when I'll get there. I don't mind the half a mile walk to the place in town but the weather certainly isn't permitting. Hellish rain and wind...

However, sometime today I'll get a jpeg of the design I've done off to Dave and he can get it in the original post above and eventually I'll be able to get an actual picture of the shirt once I get one.

I'll also start working on the actual web info as well. So it won't take much time once the shirts are done.

Whew, it's always something.

Oh, do give time for Shadoe to get the photo on as I haven't sent it to him as yet...

January 14th, 2005, 12:16 AM
I'll be happy to take an XXL, just let me know the total (with s & h as I'm also stateside). Is this something we can pay by PayPal?

Silky
January 14th, 2005, 02:59 PM
Good news ... been to the printer today. He'll have a sample shirt ready for me next week.

So ... I've asked Shadoe not to put up the design. Next week you'll actually be able to see it for real.

Once I get the shirt I'll be able to do the calculations on what it will cost. As per normal I need the weight of the thing to see postage and packaging charges. Won't be too bad for UK but it will get a little sticky for outside UK because of the nasty posting charges.

Keeping you informed as always...

Also, I checked on the ladies T's. As soon as I can I'll get the information here as well as the sizes for the men's. Hopefully I'll get that done today but I've got to start working on my newsletter piece.

Silky
January 14th, 2005, 03:06 PM
Oh, and I'll be able to accept PayPal but it will have to be in British Pounds ££££, but unfortunately it will cost an extra £1.00 for the fee they'll charge me.

Okay, I've got some preview/guidelines ready but I'm going to do it as a separate post cause this one is getting quite long.

Hi Silky. could I also get an XL for Myself. Thanks

Silky
January 23rd, 2005, 05:26 PM
Yes, as I mentioned in a post separate to this I'll be picking up the sample shirt tomorrow.

Once I get everything calculated, hopefully by the end of the week I'll have to info off to Shadoe for the web page and then I'll be able to start taking orders.

I'm going to close this post now.

Thanks everyone for your input.
