This was brought to my attention by Tops - thanks go to him for pointing this out.
If you work on a networked computer, or you share your terminal with anyone else, it is recommended that you log out after each session. This will clear your cookies on the machine you are using.
If you are only logging in from home or on a non-networked system, you don't need to worry about this.

A quick update on something Pote and I were discussing the other night.
if you have a "always-on" connection from home, such as a cable modem or DSL connection, you may want to consider logging out each time you leave the board also.
Some people have a firewall so they don't need to worry, but if you don't have a software or hardware firewall, your computer could be accessed, and you might want to log out just in case. if there ever is a problem though, we can take care of it and just change passwords for people if we need to...
Completely off the topic of the board - if you do have an 'always on' connection and don't have some type of firewall - i recommend getting one ASAP. Safety on the net is an important matter. A software firewall will work while a hardware one is best, IMHO.

I have to agree with Shadoe here, you would be mad to leave your computer logged on all day with out a firewall...
