You people are always talking about Necroscope (not that there is anything wrong with that) so I'll add in some of Lumleys Mythos work.
Ok who would win Cthulhu VS. Nyarlathotep. Cthulhu has the physical advantage but Nyarlathotep has the mental advantage.

wouldn't happen, they are on the same side.

TOPAL_SHEAP: Actually they are not on the same side. Though they are not enemies they do have different agendas. Well Cthulhu is a Great Old One that lies dead in R'yleh waiting and dreaming of his return so he can rule Earth, Nyarlathotep is an Outer God who travels the univeres in his 999 "masks" causing insanity and chaos where ever he goes.

Don't forget that the CCD found their Infernal way into the Necroscopes though, remember N:IV? Nyralathotep had a cameo...
But BL hasn't just written Mythos & Necroscope stuff either... Don't forget the Psychomech trilogy, or the House of Doors, or the countless but none the less enjoyable short stories... I could go on (& on & on & on...)

I was not aware of Nyarlathoteps cameo in Necroscope 4, can you tell me where is it?

With that nasty bunch of bastards theres no such thing as same side. They form alliances when it mutually suits them but give them half a chance they'd rip each other up.
My money would be on the Big C.

Andrew, I might be wrong (it could have been part 5) but it's in the incantation for the calling up of people from their ashes... hope this helps...

I'm not sure about Nyarlathoteps <damn spellings!!>, but I sure remember Yog Sothoth being in one of the two incantations. Probably Mr N. is in the other, but I can't be bothered to go check.
And since it was used in IV and V, I assume the words are uttered in both. http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/smile.gif

andrew the sinister (which you are plainly not), are you deliberately trying to f**king goad me. In response to your mail, my name is spelt TOPOL_SHEAP and not topal_sheap, please in future get it right.
I may have been a little harsh, but cthulhu to my knowledge is NOT dead but simply asleep. And isn't Nyarlathotep one of his mates that he drinks with at the pub on a friday evening?

*singing* There is a house in R'lyeh, they call the Rising Menace! *chuckles*
You can't pique our interest by mentioning a mail we were't privy to and not tell us the contents! But never mind that...
As far as Nyralathotep is concerned, isn't IT just an abstract personification? An anthropomrophisation of the telepthic talents of the CCD?
I'm probably wrong, it'll be nothing new! http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/cool.gif
