I think I have to agree with pybob, it differs from day to day (mood to mood). Plus I like so much different styles of music I can't give you just one song, but hé let me give you an example:

Eels - Lucky Day in Hell
Presidents - Lump
Simon & Garfunkel (live) - Kodachrome
Da Luniz - I've got 5 on it
every single song from Mozart's Zauberflote (magic flute)
Beck - Jackass
Foo Fighters - ? (damn I forget the name of that song everytime)

Well I could go on but I think you've got my point. To much great music to choose just one or two favourite's http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/smile.gif

If we are talking classical then...

Danse Macabre Saint-Saens (where is that damn umlauted 'E'!!) or Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata. Depends whether I'm in outré (ha) or somber mood.

Pybob! Good call on "Ode to joy". Music powerful enough to make your eyes bleed!

Tonka! I admire a man who has the courage of his convictions when he makes inflammatory statements to the extent that you do.
You do realise that in saying you don't know anyone who dislikes "Angels" you are opening yourself up to attack from Gary Barlow's fan, coming after you with a crossbow and a flaming torch!!!

Not to mention other people who have a problem with the 'Industry' in general and Mr Williams attitude/music in particular.

I'd lay low for several years if I was you! At least until Gary's fan has lost interest in you. http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/wink.gif

<font color=440066>Going past a few posts (glossing over anything to do with RW) to what Goth Girl said about Mussorgsky and the obvious love of many pieces of classical amongst the contributors here...

A few weeks ago Emaleth pointed me at a website that has thousands of pieces of music in midi format... click here (http://www.prs.net/midi.html)

Thought those of you like me who like classical but couldn't identify a composer or title of a piece could do with a site that'll let you hear what folks here are on about! http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/smile.gif

Wow!!! That's a toughie!!! I too tend towards the mood music. However, here's a list o' songs that always prick my ears up regardless of circumstance:

Sick Of You by Gwar
Little Bastard by Chaos UK
Satan's Trampoline by Lawnmower Deth
Stay Gold by Murphy's Law
Maladjusted by Sick Of It All
Meat Packer by Yuppicide
Devil's Night Out by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones
Collage Radio Looser by The Meatmen
The Dirtball by Insane Clown Posse
Scratch by Morphine

Uh... Actually, anything by the above mentioned bands (and a butt-load of more I haven't listed) will pretty much do it. There's just too much to list. Sorry, my music is an incredibly important portion of my life!!!

Kortag- I've heard rumors of black, round, flat things that held music as well! (Actually, I have a few things on vinal) I had a tape of Back With a Bong by Murphy's Law in highschool, but I converted it to disk aeons ago. They're one of the best live acts I can think of (I've seen em' about 10 or 15 times) Gang Green (sp?) used to have Joe Gittleman, the bass player from The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. I never really cared for them (Gang Green), but The Meatmen's cover of Alcohol on the Pope on a Rope album ROCKS!!!! http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Artemis- *scraping some steamed brocoli into the cheese and rice* I feel a bit of a hypocrite, as I tried to suggest some "cheer up" music and was stricken by the same beast as you. Glad you enjoyed it though http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/smile.gif
