Damn! I wish I could have been there - to think I was back home in England just 8 weeks ago and come back to Canada AND MISS IT!! *sulk*

Hi there Moth!

I don't want to annoy anyone who couldn't make it, but it was GREAT!!

I had a really cool time, with immeasurable thanks to Lord Lumley and Lady Silky, also Quail and John. Brian is hilarious, really good fun, and I could listen to Silky for hours, she has some amazing stuff to say.

It's a shame more of you couldn't make it, I'd have loved to meet you all, but the three of us had a great laugh, the highlight being sharing a bottle of champagne with Brian - not only is he a brilliant writer but a truly nice guy too.

Silky took a few photos, so hopefully they'll appear soon, (but please bear in mind that I'd gone straight from work, so I look like a troll!).

I almost missed my train home because I didn't want to leave. Brian and Silky are great and I can't wait to see the photos.

Ignore Goth she looked great as you'll soon see when the pics are up. It's a pity the rest of you couldn't be there, you missed a good time.

Well, the signing was a success. It is a shame though only three of you could make it. http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/frown.gif

Brian and I got there about 6:15, went upstairs and I immediately went over and introduced myself to Goth Girl. We got to do quite a bit of talking before the authors finally got around to sitting down to start signing. Then Quail and lethal_menace came along. Keith and Jane Grant-Evans came a little later as well. During the signing we did indeed enjoy a bottle of champagne.

I did take some photos and I'll get them on the site as soon as I can. It was a new roll of film so I'll have to find something to take pictures of to finish off the roll. So please be patient http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/wink.gif

We left around 10:00 PM but there were still a few around chatting away. The hard bit was getting a taxi back to the hotel when we left. You have to find just the right corner to stand on to flag one down. http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/eek.gif

Okay guys and girls, we did get to Forbidden Planet on New Oxford Street Saturday morning and all their stock is signed up. And they have quite a selection. http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

And now we are just about recovered ... it is quite tiring coming up to London, usually we stay two nights which gives us time to adjust to the pace, this time we didn't. So we are suffering a bit of London-Lag. Ha!

Thanks you for a very enjoyable evening Goth, Quail, Lethal, Keith and Jane, and last but certainly not least Nick Austin who we are always especially happy to see.

I'm really sorry I couldn't make it but I'm glad you all enjoyed it, it sounded great.
I'd intended to attend but had to go into hospital on the 3rd so that was that, I got out yesterday.

If something happens again I'll definately be there or if anyones just up for an informal piss up, I'm sure I could drag myself there.
