Not so much related to the site, but those of us with brianlumley.com email addresses know what I'm talking about. SPAM has become a huge problem and I thought it was just us...well - I guess I was wrong. SPAMmers are killing the internet for all of us...
We're losing the war on SPAM (http://www.clickz.com/feedback/buzz/article.php/2175751)

Why can't this be solved and quickly? Myself, I average over 60 junk emails a day to my bl.com account alone....

I agree Shadoe.
I have both a hotmail and a yahoo account and they are both flooded daily with spam.
They have junk mail protection but it doesn't recognize some mail as junk because alot still get's thru to the inboxes.

Spam, gods how I do dislike Spam.
Never used to mind it so much on sandwiches, but how can you eat an e-mail advertisment.

now luncheon meat...

SPAM IS EVIL... I've got to the point where I now ignore it, and hope it goes away... spam traps are rubbish as they don't catch half the things... take for example:

S E P T I C T A N K

rather than SEPTIC TANK.... I think you'll see a growing trend for this kind of thing...

SPAM IS EVIL...

Actually I don't get much in the way of SPAM, I used to but since changing my email address last November I hardly get any. Maybe it's because I don't go very far on the web and don't download much.

your best best to avoid spam:

1. Never use your own email address unless it's for things like amazon/ebay.

2. Never tell anyone your email address

3. Never ever post your email address to a public web site/board.

I am sure I can think of more antispam rules...

Submit spammers' addresses to all the listbots you can find - I do this once a month just for the fun of it... OK alot use addresses that are only used for sending spam out, but if I upset even one then I'm happy... :D

Our hotmail accounts get tons of spam daily but the e-mail accounts through blueyonder get nothing unless we've asked specifically for it which is great! It's really funny because I mostly use my blueyonder e-mail when filling in forms etc, but the hotmail is the one that jams up with rubbish.

Could it be that Hotmail is a SPAM magnet?

I think you're right Silver! I've just been on Hotmail and lo and behold 20 new spam mails in the last 3 hours..... it's got to be magnetic like the bloody North pole......

Until the last coupla months, I got hardly any spam, but just recently I've been getting dozens. Luckily the spam filter catches most of them, but you gotta wonder what planet these people live on... surely they can't make any money out of the crap they flood people with.

Some of them are really offensive too... if I had kids, I wouldn't be pleased if they were getting incest/bestiality porn spam... gross!
