Well we're currently making our Necroscope film (see the Necroscope: The Movie thread), but which other of Mr Lumley's books would you like to see made into a film? Khai of Ancient Khem? The Primal Lands? Dream Lands? or how about the Psychomech trilogy?

The last one has been touched upon once, but only briefly... see here (http://www.brianlumley.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=4;t=000076)

Quick thought: how about The Rock, as he appears in The Scorpion King, as Tarra Khash?

I'd love to see Psychomech as a movie - Lawnmower Man seemed to owe more to it than SK's short - and there's a hell of a lot more material to pull from...

A dark tale, redemption, discovery, action, love and a cute doggie - surely the 'Hollywood Bigwigs' can see the incredible potential in that?

House of doors could be cool smile.gif

That could be quite a nice crossing of genres, if it's done right.

How about Beneath the Moors, it's a Lumley Favourite of mine:)

House of Doors would be a great film... Robert Carlyle would make a good Alec Haggie, with his thin, shifty, weaselly face. And I can imagine Steven Seagull (isn't that how it's spelled? LOL) in his younger days as Jack Turnbull.

GG,

YOU ARE EVIL. YOU CAN'T HAVE STEVEN THE SEAGULL IN ANYTHING EVER.

Rant over.

True... never seen a Steven Seagull film in my life, just the occasional trailer for his films on TV (with a mental note of one to avoid). The closest I get to watching action films is Pokemon The Movie.

HoD would be a cool movie, I agree. I also agree that Steven should absolutely NOT play any role, Lumley or otherwise. I think that dude learned to fight so he'd never have to run away. Man, does he look like a sissy when he runs!

Anyway...

I always pictured Jack Turnbull as a bigger man. Kind of like Warf (sp?) from Star Trek: The Next Generation, but without the distorted face.

You know, big and beefy, yet sharp as a tack.

Spencer Gill? Uhhh... someone like Captain Picard, maybe? Old but young...

The chick from Spiderman would be good for Angela.

The one role that I see with perfect clarity is Bannerman. Michael Ironside would be perfect...
