Inspired by the Desert Island Book Post and this months 'The Dark Side' magazine .... How about we take a Widescreen TV, DVD player and Video Player (and great big generator) to a remote island - Which 5 films would you take along?? Mine in no particular order -- THE WICKER MAN, JAWS, PSYCHO, THE EXORCIST and THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK .....

I haven't posted on desert island books simply because I just cannot decide which books I would leave behind, there is no way I could choose. I am terrible at decision making as it is without it being something as important as books. Which is why I can't decide on films either! Sorry!

Silver, what are you doing... as we're not on the island yet, you can change your mind, and I think I also tried to "trade" with people on what they were taking... if we get a big enough group, I am sure you'll get everything you need.
On the films front... this is probably more difficult than books for me... my film watching is slightly more wide spread than the books I read... damn you!
So someone is taking Empire? cool. Here's an idea of what I might take...
</font> Blade Runner (when they bring out the edition in the works, that contains both versions of the films)</font> The Maltese Falcon</font> Three Colours Blue (shame all three aren't available as a multipack)</font> Goodfellas/Taxi Driver (can't decide between the 2, but I need a scorsese flick in there)</font> Citizen Kane (don't take the piss on this, as it's fantastic in so many different ways, but you don't want me to write a dissertation on why - I could do)

Predictable ole Debs...
The Fifth Element
Preaching To The Perverted
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Can I have an island of my own with no action films, Bond films, rom coms or chick flicks?

Christopher Lloyd is his name ... top actor...sure he'd fit into the Necroscope film somewhere!! Maybe a Szgany ....... by the way BTTF trilogy is about to be released in a DVD box set .. that may well count as one choice???

If I were stranded on a Desert Island, what DVD's would I take. Wow, this is a hard one.
Off the top of my head, I would say:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, TV show Season 4 (boxed set)
Cast Away - maybe I can get some ideas from Tom Hanks & Wilson :D
Drop Dead Gorgeous - For a good laugh
