As for the first one; I've already answered it. Not so much the "answer being in the question" as the "answer being in my answer"...

Sorry, it was a bit contrived (a bit?!), but it was the only way I could think of working your board-name into a cryptic clue. Try working Jase of Khem into a clue! I've tried...
