Ok as of tonite me and SpOOk have formed our own Clan for Tribes 2... And where would be better to recruit than our friends in BL :D...

We are Called Lunacy INC. And we are named [LINC]Suspect Genome (SpOOk) and [LINC]Psy'Creech (Me)

We need at least 12 people in our clan... I will even build a webpage for clan meets and game times (In GMT of course :D)

would be interested, however one slight hicup... dont have tribes 2....anyone got any suggestions..

isnt it purely a squad based game? with no single player options? im not too fond of tactics etc. just like to frag away...

it depends on the format

i found CS really naff, UT and Q3TA a good laugh on the CTF mode. The only one ive enjoyed is TF. IMHO, nothing beats a good deathmatch or FFA? oh did i say "bring em on?" what with bot support i got recently ive been running my own TF server, but those bots are dumb bots and a dumb bot in my opinion is a dead bot smile.gif

Oks. For VonD's benefit - Tribes 2 is possibly the best team game on the net at the moment. It moves away from the confined, corridor style gameplay of say, Q3 or UT, in favour of more open plan warfare.

Tribes 2's maps are vast, outdoor things - and they need to be. Last week I played in a public match with 82 other players. It was madness. It was bliss smile.gif

System requirements are high to get the engine running nicely, but its well worth it, as the detail and pure broad expanse of scenery is frankly, amazing.

Offline play is definately limited - only certain maps have Bot support. Online is where the action is...

Hope to be seeing you all there sometime in the future

What SpOOk is also forgetting to include is the Game like the first one does have to use teamplay... But its a monster... You need a good spec machine to run it well.

dug out an old copy of pczone and read the review for tribes 2 last night. i sufficiently convinced to seek out and purchase it. got a review slightly less than UTornea. Which is my favourite. So when i have been able to track down a copy of tribes2 i will join in the fragging.

just need server details and all that nonsense. can you both send me a PM with your CLAN information, emails and phone numbers so we can co-ordinate and sychronise watches (he he Chuckle ;) )

On questions for spooks is "how laggy was it with 82 players?" what spec machines are you using to play?

VonD - with 82 players, as you'd expect, the plague of Lag was evident. I've found that T2 is probably the least laggy game I've played (aside from Tribes 1). As always, some days are good, some days...nightmare :)

Spec wise - I'm currently running:

Athlon 1ghz
128MB RAM
Geforce 3

on a dodgy old 56k connection.

More RAM soon, whilst its cheap.

still havent got round to buying the damn game yet fellas. perhaps when im back of holiday...and im in need of that fix of online fragging i will purchase a copy.
