Been an old Gorehound, and fan for maaaaannny years of the NOEM and 13TH Films -- the sad side of me has been waiting for this one for a while. Was it worth it??? YEHHHHH!!!

Went for my romantic evening out ... and throughly enjoyed this silly, gory and utterly irrelevent piece of film making. Doesn't take itself serious at all and has the usual -- Rain, Large breasted ladies, Large breasted WET ladies, screaming, running, chopping, hacking, blood, guts, de-capitations, MORE blood and lots of wisecracks! All in all a great 90 minutes.... for all the old fans this is a must.

Even the good lady wife enjoyed herself.... 'One Two Freddys coming for you!....

Any fellow Lumlians given it ago???

I've been looking forward to Freddy vs Jason since before 'The Final Friday' came out... A film which tantilizingly had an ending which features Freddy's beclawed hand reaching out of the earth to pull Jason's mask down into Hell...

About every six months or so there has been news about the erstwhile flick and I promised myself I wouldn't get excited about it until it actually happened... Now it has and I can enjoy the anticipation!

Bring It On!

Sorry not a Jason or Freddy fan thought the other movies were crap and pointless and not at all scary

The early Friday movies were scary, then it became old hat and just cheesy fun. Freddy was always tongue in cheek humour-horror in my opinion, but still one of my favourite series, as I have the Nightmare on Elm Street DVD box set. Seeing as how I live on Elm Street though, it's a no brainer must have. :D

As for Freddy vs. Jason, I'll watch it when it hits video. My prediction though? Both of them will come back for more if the studios think they can turn a buck. ;)

I'll definately catch this on DVD.

Jason scared me pretty good even after he became old hat, and Freddie was always good for a laugh, but neither compares to Michael Myers IMO. I can remember being eight years old and literally feeling the need to crap myself. The first Halloween still creeps me out... so does the first FTT for that matter but not quite as bad...

They shoulda made it an all out brawl and brought him in too, along with Leatherface perhaps.

Leather face was never rwaly scarey though, kind of more butch in a really camp way... He'd be the first to die if they did that.

Having not seen the film yet, I reckon Freddy has to win, he's my childhood nightmare... saw the 3rd one when I was 12 - and we were camping in the woods when I was in the scouts... worst night's sleep of my life.

Anyway off to do other things now smile.gif
