Yearly Subscriptions becoming cancelled

Just a heads up for everyone: I've noticed that if anyone changes anything to their bank accounts on PayPal, it automatically cancells any subscription payments you had.

I am getting a lot of cancellations latley and am going through and updating the member accounts, so if you still wanted newsletter access and full board access and don't have it anymore, please know that I didn't take it away for no reason - it's just that when I get the notice from PayPal, I won't receive anymore payments until you sign up again for the subscription.

Just an update to this post. I have spent some time this week going through old emails, PayPal notices, saved spreadsheet forms (I do keep track of all members - even if I don't get things updated every day), and I got everyone's posting and access rights updated.

Some people now have access to places they didn't because of a slip-up on my part and some people don't have access to places they did because of neglect on my part. grin.gif

Basically - if you haven't paid up or changed info on PayPal, or just let your membership fade and would like Elite access back, get in touch with me or signup again for full rights.

If you think you should have access to the Newsletter or to post somewhere and you can't, let me know and we'll get it worked out. You can respond here if you can't get to an email address for me - although I have a ton so do a little looking. smile.gif

As always, if your Elite membership has expired, it doesn't mean you can't post anymore on the BBoard. You still have free reign in Brian's areas to discuss all things Lumley, so enjoy!

Update: fiddled around in my options and ticked a box saying alow private messages. then tried to message you again, and it said: a board leader has elected to deactivate this privlage from you?
Has mine reverted, or is my membership due for this year??

The last info I have for your payment was that it expired in August and it was a one year payment, not a subscription, correct? If I'm wrong in this, let me know. Thanks.

ok! Yeah was a year payment from what I've remembered. Is there a new payment scheme then.

Will re-pay, paypal payment again?

PayPal is fine - the subscription option is the best, if you plan on never leaving. smile.gif But either way will work. If you're not sure where to go to do it, go to http://www.brianlumley.com/store/blc2.html.

Can you let me know what's up.Thanks. Yup, you had one but the info I have on file says it was cancelled on July '04, which still gave you access through the original signup date of Feb '05. If you changed anything with your PayPal info, like bank accounts or credit cards that were being used for that subscription, payPal will cancel them to ensure nothing tries to go through on old information from what I can tell. Let me know if that sounds right to you.

Yup, you need to resubscribe with your current info. then you can forget about it as long as your info doesn't change again.

Hi, I'm a Lumlian from 2000, and just got back on the caravan, and I got a pm from The Bloody Lady asking for a fee...so I have 2 questions: If i just want to be a basic member, do i need to pay it? and 2 if I do, what is the address on Pay Pal that I send it to?

Amarfa, the thread right below (http://www.brianlumley.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=7;t=000199) this one explains the membership information. It shows the link to the store/PayPal info page as well as Shadoe's mailing info if you don't want to use PayPal.

It also describes Basic and Elite membership, decision is up to you :)

Just a bump to let everyone know I was updating non-automatic subscriptions tonight and if you have had a subscription through PayPal and changed or added or removed any info from there site, your subscription may have been canceled, so if you can't get in somewhere - let me know and we'll try and get you sorted! :) Thanks to everyone for supporting the forums and the site throughout the years.
