It's on it's way and I for one cannot wait. It seems they are gonna be loyal to the book and maybe the Wolves Of Calla too. You can't go wrong with vampires and this is one of the greatest vampire stories. They're doing the school bus scene too, which is just great.
Some links and reviews.
Best overall site I've found so far.

Good review here, although you can get most of the info and links from liljas-library above.

Will defo be looking out for this one wookster, I may even look into reading the book as well but not untill I've seen this as the orginal mini-series was one of my all time s**t my pants moments from my childhood.(And there weren't many so it feels kind of special)

Read the book Helm. It really is great. I saw the Tobe Hooper adaptation and it scared me silly. It seems every kid at my school was allowed to watch it and I remember the look of fear on every childs face. I'm interested in seeing how Rutger Hauer does Barlow. He was a suave european man in the novel. It seems they're going to do the corruption of Callahan scene in it's entirety as well. One of the scenes I missed in the first film.
I read the book after seeing the show and it scared me even more. Kings best book in my mind. Takes it's time getting going but it's time well spent as you know every character and the town so well, and then the vampires start taking their toll.

Love the book, a great modern vampire tale. The original two-parter was fantastic, I recall seeing only the second part the first time round - but Danny Glick tapping at the window. Great stuff. Always peed me off that the video release was the abridged version, got the region 1 dvd which is well worth hunting down.
Looking forward to this remake...

I am glad to hear they are doing this. The original did scare me but I was just a wee lad when I saw. But after reading the book and seeing how they screwed up Barlow, (kind of had to add in that Nosferatu angle didn't they?) This should be good. I think Hauer is a good choice for Barlow. Another one to wait anxiously for...

Rutger Hauer is pretty good doing cold evil characters. I was reminded after watching it recently how evil he was in The Hitcher. Yeah he can do evil.

It seems they are gonna be loyal to the book and maybe the Wolves Of Calla too. What do you mean about Wolves of the Calla? They might continue Callahan's story into Mid-world? I don't see how they could pull that off without confusing the hell out of everybody!
Lilja's site is one of the best for all things King - he updates every single day and has a lot of insider info.
But he gets a lot of it from Bev Vincent, who has a site of his own right here (http://www.bevvincent.com/cgi-bin/cutecast/cutecast.cgi?session=4XAIOT5cGcP0GvvfTY8NLsoZ3e). He's already read the last two DT books and written The Road to the Dark Tower which will be released shortly after the final DT installment late this year. He's pretty tight-lipped about the unreleased books, but he's kept a journal on his messageboard of his experience in writing his own book that's pretty interesting...

Have just finished Wolves. Don't worry I was reading an inaccurate review. I just think they are going to be using Callahans history from Wolves to pad out this new adaptation. That makes sense to me.
Thanks for the Bev Vincent site. Have already read spoilers I could of done without. serves me right.
