OK all, I was sitting in my wonderfully exciting business ethics class last night and I started to think about something that has me wondering. SO of course I will put it to this board for discussion.
Has anyone on this board read the David Gemmel books with the character Jon Shannow(also known as the Jerusalem Man)? If so, do any of you see a resemblance to Roland from the Dark Tower books? Or is it just me? I am going to have to go back and look at the publish dates to see who came first but if my memory serves I beleive it was Shannow...
Also, what are peoples thoughts on Gemmel? I actually enjoy him as sort of a guilty pleasure...all his stuff is larger then life heroic fantasy with definite moral messages but to me are light and enjoyable, very quick tasty reads....kind of like fast food for the brain.
