Along with the recent server move, there will be a new change later this year in how we interact with each other. The Board will be upgraded to a MySQL database backend - for all the geeks out there that care. smile.gif
We've been using UBB almost from the start here and have faithfully upgraded with each new release which brought more features and better software along for the ride. For the last 2 years, Infopop, now Groupee, has been working on a new version of the Board software which was supposed to combine the best of ubb.classic (which we use) and threads, which is the database board. They ended up with a board that looks more like ubb.threads (according to their press release) so it is looking like it will be a major upgrade to the .threads system. it sounds like a huge improvement over what we have here, with better functionality, quicker load times, customization - the works. So, when it becomes available, I will be testing it and moving all of the current topics to the new system, but that won't be till later this year, most likely third quarter, but watch for it. smile.gif
Just a long-winded FYI for anybody that cares to know the upgrade path and the thoughts behind this place we all call home. At least I do.
