in this current time, it would appear that anything can be sold.

the question is how much would you be prepared to appear in a novel?

currently bidding is going on for charity to appear within the works of:

Writers Margaret Atwood, Pat Barker, Ken Follett, Robert Harris, David Lodge, Ian McEwan, Terry Pratchett and Zadie Smith

i would certainly like to crop up in Terry Pratchets next novel. im just not sure i would like what i would be though.

last years bids were around the £2k mark to get into literary immortality.

putting this in a context of the BL. which one of Brians books would you like to appear in, as what character and to play what part in a situation.

answers on a post card.

I would have liked to have appeared as a character in the latter part of the series who had received one of harry golden darts. Someone who had some embrionic necroscope skills not all the responsibilities...

so hang on, would this mean we would have to pay to be in a book?

if i was to be in one of brians books, i'd like to be one of the vamps, one of the more slightly *good* ones

why be a good person when u can go all out and be a mean bloodsuckin bone crunchin Wamphyri?

:D

i can tell u why i wouldnt want to be a wamp, the ebranch and the necroscopes are too damn efficient, too much stress from the ursurpers and you cant get sun block 100 on the source world (aparently). i would much rather be one of the good guys. of course theres always that the wamphyri do wear such cool sunglasses!!!

Sign me up for a bloodsucker role!!!!!!!!! I'd jump at the chance to be a Wamphryi in one of Brian's novels. All the vamps were so well written and profiled. Even the ones like The Lech whom had a smaller part were well known and remembered. Where do I pick up my fangs? ;) ;) :D :D

I think I'd like to be a vampire, but one with a story about my transition... sort of like Thibor, or Faethor. Any of the ones that could recall their life as a human and then their ascention. Those stories always seemed to be Brian at his best.
