quote:
KFOR meteorologist Dan Threlkeld says “Oklahoma has a chance of rain Friday night and Saturday. Colder air moves into the state this weekend and the rain may change to snow by Saturday night into Sunday.”

Rain is likely on Saturday and snow is possible in the northwestern corner of the state.

“Looks like it will be a cold Christmas,” Threlkeld said. “But chances are not good for a white Christmas.”

Will there be a white Christmas in your neck o' the woods?

No one wants a little snow for the holidays?

Not in the spirit yet?

Aack! Didn't see this one!

We need snow! LOL, this is awful, at the moment the weatheridiots are threatening us with a winter storm... we'll believe it if we ever see it. Hasn't been this bare in years!

If we don't get any, this will make year # 4 of no snow accumulations like we are used to getting. Although, we are doing better this year at work that we have in the past 2 years, so someone is hoping to get snow!

EDIT: Forgot to add that its so bad here the resorts are trying to make snow! This week is the first time in a while that its been cold enough to do it! We (the state of MN) has had to cancel numerous events due to the lack of snow, and at Duluth's Sno-Cross Annual races in November, they actually hired trucks to haul whatever snow was around! Nasty looking, muddy stuff too, but it worked as snowmobiles can generally ride on anything.

Four years?! Even we had snow last year! But that was the first in a long time. :(

I'd love to live in a place like yours that is used to snow all the time! There's not much better than skiing and sledding and snowmobiles. I lived in Colorado Springs for a year when I was twelve and would jump at a chance to move back.

Plus people around here cannot drive at all when it snows or ices over.

LOL!!! Being a transplanted Southerner I agree with you on the Non-Winter-Drivers the South can produce!

I didn't mean we didn't have any snow, just that we are used to seeing feet.. not inches here! Our last big snow... a measley 8th of an inch!

EDIT: Argh, this cold is really making me post strange with massive typos! lol :-|

Well, at least our temperature is somewhat normal now... borderline freezing (32 F) but no look for snow for the big day...

Been a strange year.... perfect weather is snow and cold 2nd week of December through 2nd week of January...then warm up and be sunny and 60 the rest of the year. smile.gif

Ah well..one can hope....

Chances of snow in London?

Yesterday it was said that there was "virtually no chance" of a White Christmas... today it's "90% probable" that it will snow on Christmas Day... bah humbug!

Bah humbug to snow... used to love it when i had a puppy to take out for walks, but when you have to brave the slushy London snow to get to work, and fall on your arse dozens of times and get to work looking like you peed yourself... no fun at all.

Has never happened to me of course... ;)

Me & Mazrah have our fingers and toes crossed, in the hope that we will get snow. :D

We both love the snow, and like Nathan would jump at the chance to move, near to the Rockies....... the Canadian rockies ;)

We have just booked up a little Ski trip to Bulgaria in January, the price was amazing..
We booked 7 days Half Board for £149.00 each smile.gif

Oh yeah, and whilst I can hear you all screaming...."Mazrah you fool you've just had major back surgery"....She will only ski, nice sedate slopes and take it easy, I will be watching her constantly

So our Weekend itinary goes a little like this.....
Friday 25th...meet Brian & Silky and the gang in London for a few drinks :D

Saturday 26th...Fly off to Bulgaria, Skiing :D

Sunday 27th...Celebrate Mazrah's Birthday :D

It don't get much better than this.....unless of course West Ham win the Premiership (I won't be holding my breath on that one though) ;)
