These are pretty typical but hey, it's what I gotta do...
I resolve to get back to 180 pounds. (That's been my constant weight since I was 17 until this year. I'm now 202!! :( )
I resolve to cut my smoking to a half-pack a day... from two packs.
I resolve to make more time to write.
There are more improvements I could make (and some y'all might want me to work on tongue.gif ) but these are gonna be hard enough for a start...
Whatchoo guys wanna do next year?

I guess my main one is the same as every year... get more exercise and shape up a bit!
Also wanna make some major changes in my life... my 30th birthday is rapidly approaching, and I feel like I ought to be making more of my life... so this year is the year to do it!
Watch out world, here comes Debs!! :D

i am determined to win the lottery, this year ;)
But if that is not possible, I would like to lose about6-10 lbs in weight, get a lot fitter & perhaps take up Rugby again.

I will keep the same resolution I have done year after year since hmm... the mid 70's...
I resolve to never make another New Years Resolution involving things I will ultimately either never do or fail miserably at...
:-D

I thought about that as well, Ema.
Everyone makes 'em and everyone breaks 'em, right?
That's why I made mine more realistic this year... you see, I love smoking and know quite well that I won't give it up! But I bet I can cut it down from eight freakin' dollars a day!!
If I can do that I should be able to get back into shape a little easier as well!
The only one that might be a problem in all this is the time for writing! :( Between work, working out, and reading, I won't have much time at all... plus I smoke about a pack and hour when I write! I'll miss that for sure!
Or maybe I won't... I don't feel very confident about 'em anymore. :( Thanks a lot, Ema! tongue.gif :D
deano-- man, I wish we had Rugby here! I bet that'll whip you into shape fairly quick! I always enjoyed (as a kid) the stretching and calasthentic type workouts as opposed to the grind and monotony of the gym. :(
Good luck! smile.gif

Erg... I hate these... well, I guess I'd like to PRETEND that I could actually do these... so, here goes: lose 20 lbs., become a well-to-do writer, win $$$ to pay for college, and keep my brother out of jail...
realistically, hmmm.... I'll stick to becoming a better thinker, I just bought a book called "How to think like Leonardo da Vinci", it has a lot of mind excersises, & it'll be hard, but I think I can do it... hopefully!!! :D

Deano if you're interested I have a friend who plays for the seconds of Dunstable rugby club, And if your're even more interested I'll have to get you to come over to the Wheatsheaf in Dunstable sometime - they play metal !!!!
Well towards the end of last year I met my Dad for the first time since I was 2, I have cut down my smoking to 2 or 3 a day if at work, none at all other times apart from if I go out drinking which nowdays is rare. I have lost nearly 20 lbs in the last 3 months.......So I guess next year I will cut out smoking altogether, lose more weight (another 20lbs by june 1st) increase weights at the gymn and to stop spending money I don't have !! Ooh and of course to read more books by more authors.

Wampyrlord thanks for the offer, let me know when the gigs are, or what nights you go out. The only problem I have is I work Monday to Friday nights, so if it isn't Sat or Sun :(
As for the Rugby, there are two clubs within a couple of miles of me, and hopefully they have veteran sides as I'm getting on a bit now ;)
I'll send you my email address on a private message smile.gif
