Justa wondering about your board names, your alter egos etc.
Where do they come from?
I know some are characters from the Master's book, but what about the others hmmmm????
As for me, simply I used to love walking around in heavy rain falls and thunder storms when I was younger (and still do I guess!!) Hence STORM :D

Well, for some my pseudonym is quite obvious... but I shall explain any-who...
JB are my real initials, I guess I did that to keep something of my real self connected to my alter-ego...
_ is because I like to have a space there...
and Lestat is my favourite character of all time, not to put The Master down, he will always be my favourite author, and I love Harry Keogh and the rest, but, well, I love Lestat de Lioncourt! Even though Anne Rice's writing is absolutely horrible... in my opinion.
Any further explanation needed, please feel free to contact me, although I greatly doubt that will happen considering my obsessive amounts of explanation... :D

Mine was an ill-conceived, hastily thought-out "bugger i need a name before i can post, what the hell can it be, oh s**t, first time i've had to do this, ah to hell with it, this'll do" kind of panic!!
If I'd known that I would end up as a Moderator, I might have put a little more time and thought into it, instead of being stuck with GG!! But like my dear friend Vasagi pointed out a while ago, I'll have to change it soon anyway... the word 'Girl' is pushing it a little now... could be sued under the Trades Description Act!!

Back in the seventies, when I was at school, we used to play football (soccer to our American friends) and quite often we would give ourselves Brazillian/Italian names, as these were the best teams of that era....I played under the impressive name of Dino Revalino :D Hence deano ;)
Like GG, Mazrah was a spur of the moment idea, which seemed okay at the time.... smile.gif

BadMushroom
A combination of a thoroughly evil Guinness and red wine evening, coupled with a very, VERY poor 'Fruiting Bodies' pun..., again, very ill-conceived and thought up on the spur of the moment.
If I ever plumb for another name, I'm going for Maximillian von Lionlust . Grrrrrr.

Heh heh GG, we'll never grow old!! And they can't make us! We'll go down fighting & screaming... ahem..
And that name 'Shroom... has a nice ring to it!
Mine is from a RP Character I use, and couldn't be bothered with trying to remember anything else. lol, there are many folks that think that's my real name I use it so much. Although I don't think I look like an 'Ema'... of course I don't look like my real name either... erm...

I was actually born with mine. Coincidentally, it fits in nicely here! :D
I stole another screen name (Rewot Krad) that I use elswhere from an ex-employee that came up with a good one but has yet to buy a computer. He's SOL now though...it's all mine. :D
Vereor
March 19th, 2002, 06:20 PM
Nathan stole my thunder I was going to say that I was given my name by my parents...lol, although sometimes I can be seen wandering about in a daze by the name of Vereor, which was a vampire name I gave myself, in latin it means fear.

Hee hee... new name all worked out... to commence in just over 3 weeks!!
SpOOkshow

I shamelessly nicked "Spookshow" from a roleplaying game. The game in question featured people returning from beyond the grave to do their bit for their country in the Intelligence community. Think "Alias" with spooks.
Felt a bit like early Necroscope stuff, and oddly appropriate.

i chose my name after the Image comics character who returns from the grave (and Hell) with a bit of revenge in mind. I also like the thought of having a costume thats alive smile.gif It was either that or Necromancer after Dragosani. Spawn just seemed to fit. Also after meeting everyone at the Keoghcon you all might have noticed my wide grin at being called Spawn. It was so cool. :D
Exsanguinator
March 20th, 2002, 04:35 PM
Pybob's origins are way too mundane to bother with... As for Exsanguinator - I needed to have a 'surname' to go with Pybob once and synonym for something that lets blood seemed to suit - and fits well here too... ;)
topol_sheap

Top's origins come from a galaxy in a distant place where everyone has to have crutches...
actually I'm sure I made it up when I was pissed... been using the name on the net since before I came here...
Topol is after Topol who was in the Flash Gordon movie, and Sheap, well part surname, and part something else...
My own itials are also TS, the idea behind that could have from a book!

ShadoeWolfe

Hmmm... not sure if I should let you all know about the origins of the Wolfe....
Shadoe was borne out of the remnants of one of Brian's stories.. a common man infected from the bite of a wolfe.. a full leech in this wolfe, aye...his tale was told of long ago on the the web but has since long disappeared and has never been retold since... thus the tale is now forgotten...
As for my previous incarnation... I don't think any of you knew me before with my other call sign.. and we will keep it that way. ....
