Getting the new board ready - there poses a question. Do we close the old board down and use it for archive purposes only - or do we import everything into the new board and keep on chugging along?
Closing the old board down requires everyone to re-register, but it also allows for a fresh start if you have forgotten your password, want to upgrade your status, or want to have a new name that no one remembers you by. smile.gif No worries on Elite status already purchased. Those accounts will be updated if we go with a reregister so everyone will have access to where they are supposed to. Any questions, we can find out after the poll with a regular discussion.

Hmm Well, not sure if I voted right, but I think if there was a way to at least keep some of the posts archived and viewable from the new board, that would be nice for new members to look back and see what all we have discussed regarding Brian's books.
Reference so to speak :) But too, I wouldn't want to add more on your plate. So whatever you think will be fine with me!

I agree Ema, otherwise a lot of the answers newbies could get off the old topics would end up being asked again on the new site. We'll see how the vote goes smile.gif

Well, the one nice thing about the new board is, we can actually have a forum called archives - when you click on the forum - it takes you directly to this board. This board would be 'open' so to speak, but no new posting would be allowed. It's not more work - at least I don't think so - on e way or the other.
It's just a matter of do you want the new board to have all the current forums, but with no old posts in them. And a simple click on the archive gets you to the old posts. Heck, we can even have a subforum inside each of the new ones that is a link directly to that particular forum archive.

not sure if you want to have sub forum links... that would get confusing... a single link to the old data is the way forward ;)

I personally would like to see the new board with the current forums but no old stuff.
Anyone who wants to look at old posts can do so in the archive.
Depending on when you go live, the only old posts on the board should be the current KC info.
