Hi All,
Just a quick note about what I just saw on ebay....
The Caller of the Black
The Horror at Oakdeene.
These are very rare and very hard to find early Lumley collections published by Arkham House. These have only had very limited print runs (less than 3000 each I think).
I though you all might want to know about this. I woudl get them myself if I didn;t already have them.
Anyway, head on over if you are interested.
BTW, I am not the person selling them, and therefore have nothing to gain by telling you about them. Just thought some of you might want to be completists!

I just ordered Coven of Vampires through an out of print seller. Only the Paperback version though but that's ok.
The hardcover was going for $335 and if I bought that the Dog-Lord's wife/mistress would have him neutered.   :D :D

335 dollars, that seems a little steep....

Yep that's what I thought. You can check it out thru Barnes and Nobles .com and their "out of print" section...couldn't understand why myself.

Wow, I just checked out the price myself. Unbelievable!! I guess, I had better cherish the Coven HC(with Eggleton's signature) that I have. I got it last year for about $35 on Ebay. In fact, most of my out of prints came off from Ebay last year at a fraction of the price of what they are going for now. I almost hate to read them, now that they are way up there in price.

If anyone is interested or doesn't know about it...
There are a couple of Dreamlands books on ebay sitting at $2.00 a piece. Or there is a complete set being offered with a bonus too.
They end today and tomorrow. smile.gif

Well about the Hardcover Coven of Vampires, there are two types. There is one Hardcover that retails for $27.00. That is retail price someone in an out of print store or on E-bay will probably sell it for more since it is out of print.
Then there is a Special Edition Hardcover in a slipcase that was sold. There were only 100 of these printed and they are numbered. That retails for $90.00. retail!! Meaning that if it cost $90.00 to start with you know that people are selling it for a heap load more now.
So if you have a Hardcover and thats all you have , then you have the regular 27.00 Hardcover. Worth more now obviously since it is hard to get.
But if you have a Hardcover in a black slipcase with a number between 1 and 100 then you have a very rare edition worth a heap load more. Just for reference I have number 13. (I had to brag a little...lol)
I hope this clears this up a little smile.gif

To add... the HC version, no slipcase (the one being touted for stupid ammounts on Abe) is limited to 1000 copies. Peter's is definitely rarer, but the normal edition is rare as well.... get them while you can kiddies!
have to say though I am jealous ;)
