I just thought I would remind everyone that Sorcery in Shad: Tales of the Primal Land is being released on September 5. So those of us that are more recent to discovering Lumley get a chance to own this book. I love the first two in the series and I can't wait get my hands on this one.

I am not sure if it is just in the USA or not. I pre-ordered mine on the US Amazon.com site and it just says it will be released on September 5.

2. SIS Available UK on Amazon from 05.09.06 priced (special offer!!) £11.99. with free UK deliveries.

As far as I am aware these ARE hardback copies.

Still haven't got round to reading Demogorgon yet! SIS is the 3rd part isn't it? Means I have to get the first 2 before I can start even thinking of reading Shad. Harumph! More expense. Ah, what the hell! :mad: Sometimes these things have just gotta be done! :p

I don't think you have to read the first one really. The first one tells you where these stories came from and is then just a collection of unrelated stories. The second book is more like a novel about Tarra Khash. It is divided into short stories, but really they are more like chapters as they follow Tarra's adventures. Since the third, SIS, is about Tarra Khash then you should atleast read the second one. Though both are very good and both have recently been released in hardcover so you should easily be able to find them. But yes, more expense. So many books, so little money. :(

I have yet to read Demogorgon yet either. Is it even currently in print?

Nope - In a word (and HOW I tried to get a legit copy)! I had to rely on cunning and guile to obtain 'my' book. I just hope that the person I 'borrowed' it from is a forgiving soul. :D

I read Sorcery In Shad before the other two and loved it so I don't think you have to read them first. You do miss little bits of history but not enough so that you don't get it.

ME TOO! Come on already! :) Amazon is teasing me. They sent me an email Sunday saying it has shipped, yet the tracking info has not been updated. Though it is shipping through the USPS which sucks worse than a thirsty fledgeling Wamphyri. I usually get my package before they update their shipping info. lol
