Wow! I like the anticipation. Do you think there are going to be enough sane/sober people to post, post-Con, as it were? :D

Sane/sober people maybe not, it'll be more like tired and broken people but they will make the effort anyway, just wait and see!

Hope Brian is feeling better Silky. Give him my best wishes. Thanks so much once again for a fantastic weekend. It's always a real pleasure. Claire gives her thanks for making her so at home and welcome, even though she wasn't into horror or fantasy. She did buy the fantastic Eggleton print of Harry keoghs dreamscape, so maybe the conversion has started.:)

Had a great time talking with Marianne and Bob on the Sunday before we sadly had to leave. Bob was a killer guest. Great to talk with such an inspirational guy. It seems commercial illustrators seem to have the same upbringinging and obstacles to overcome. He did a couple of great pastel workshops. Very cool. Of course Allen K was hard at work all through the weekend churning out some fantastic illustrations.

Thanks to all the old and new faces which made this more like a family gathering than a convention. Hope everyone is back safely. All the best guys.:):)

I think it's more like a family gathering too and it was fantastic to have a "family reunion" it really has been a whole year since I've seen some of you and that's far too long!

Thanks Brian and Silky for a wonderful weekend, and I know it has been particularly hard work this time around with certain areas of the organisation and I really appreciate the effort you put in, also a big thanks to Debs for her assistance in helping to make it all happen and John and Paul for the wonderful Lighthouse at KeoghCon.

It was great that Allen and Chris could come over again, they are lovely people, as are Victoria and David, it was a real pleasure meeting them. Also it was fantastic to meet Bob and Marianne, it always makes me smile to find successful people who are down to earth and laugh at the same things that I do, Bob does the best impression of Keith Grant-Evans I've ever heard!

It was great to see so many newbies this year, though Mandy (that's Chris Banks, he's only Mandy at weekends) let us down with the distinct lack of Yorkies, and I'm sure he now thinks that some of us are certifiable, if he didn't already! It was also a pleasure talking with Sue and Andrew and D and Lucinda and their friend Kirk who came all the way from Farnborough on a 125 motorbike to be with us on Saturday, hope it didn't take you guys too long to get back home!

Dave as far as I'm concerned Claire is welcome anytime mate, she's ace and so are you, and so is my picture of Jeff the monster! It was so good to see you again and I'm really glad you're doing well.

Keith and Sarah, thanks for the lift back to the station and for making my face and ribs hurt so much from laughter throughout the weekend! Speaking of laughter Gayle and Debs your conversation about how happy Debs was about the picture was the funniest thing Ive ever heard, I've never cried from laughter but I almost did then! I'm sure it looks good in your house Debs and I'm so sorry I missed watching the racing with you, next time we make any arrangements I'll check and double check them to make sure I've got it right!

I'm not going to go through the whole weekend, it was amazing and I've already rambled for long enough, just going to say it was brilliant, everyone was brilliant and I really really enjoyed it and am looking forward already to next year!

Crusty cheese!

What's that coming over the hill?

38 hours and still going strong ..... z z z z

Is it a Monster?

Had a great time as always. Great to meet everyone old and new.
Keep this short as when we got back, we found our cat dead and need to sort some things out.

Fab time... thank you all! Good to see old faces and new.

Gayle... my pleasure *wink*!!! Oh dear, makes me laugh just thinking about it!

Immeasurable thanks to Rixy for the lift home... shame about the dreadful traffic, but those idiots in their Top Gun cars made up for a lot!

OK try again....

This was the best one yet. Great new people, great old people and a speshal person :)

I'm not quite sure how long it will take me to recover from this con but hey, it was worth it. I have never laughed soooo much in a long time.

Many thanks to Silky and Brian for organising this memorable event and to everyone who attended for making it what it is, a family reunion

I had an absolute blast as always, I don't think I've laughed so much since the last con. Great to see everyone both old and new. Thanks to Brian and Silky as always for organising a great event and making the raffle better than ever. It fantastic to meet Bob and Marianne for the first time and also Allen and Chris again, just watching them draw was spellbinding.

Extra special thanks go to Keith G.E. for keeping me supplied :-) even if he did win my jacket! Also to the Ginger Wookie for the stunning picture he did for me. It's already on the wall and when I get sorted out I might just commision it.

Debs no problem about the lift and seeing that knob on the M25 in his porsche painted in top gun livery was a great moment.

Rixy surely you are referring to Keith winning MY jacket? You must know it was destined to be mine, just at the moment when the ticket was drawn destiny was looking in the wrong direction!

Rixy
October 3rd, 2006, 09:43 PM
No, it was my jacket, it's just that my name that was inside it had faded! Anyway I'm going to stalk Keith, woe betide him if he puts it down anywhere!
I might even take his wine as well!

Sorry to hear about the cat Keith and Sarah.
We had a great time, even if I nearly coughed up my lungs..Paul has got the flu now and we're both off work ill. It was fabulous meeting all the newbies. What great guys and girls they all are. And Mandy !!! well what can I say Chris !!! I don't think I've ever seen someone so drunk at the con before, it would take me 4 weeks to recover from your drinking session...maybe I really am getting old!!
Great to see all the regulars like Keith, Sarah, Sharon,Debs, Rixy etc and get to appreciate three great artists works (Bob, Allen and Dave).
Thanks to Brian and Silky and Debs for a great con. We're so knackered we still haven't unpacked yet.
Hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did.

J/P! Was I really THAT drunk? I felt Ok the next morning, although I do remember slinking off at about 11.30 the previous night saying I'll be back soon!! Just how much Coke can 1 person drink in 1 day??

Silver - Yep. SPESHAL, SPESHAL, SPESHAL! Cheese dips and all other cheesy items included! You KNOW what they are!!! It was a pleasure to meet you, you mad thing! :p

Keith & Sarah - Flippin' Mental - nuff said. But condolences about the cat, really. Hope you aren't suffering too much from your cold, Keith.

Gayle - Pissed as a mattress. That's all I have to say. And keep em coming! Heh heh heh. :D :D.

To everyone else - Thanks for making my first Con a memorable one, not least to Silky & Brian (who was a little under the weather I believe). Oh well, only 363 days to go, eh? And Richard - WHERE did you get that suit you wore on Saturday night? Outrageous, matey! :D

Special thanks also to Bob & Marianne. Hope the Gustav Dore keeps you interested, Bob.

Oh yeah - and Keith, man. Just far out. Rock on, dude.

Gareth & Charlotte, thanks for the chat.

Finally Debs. Happy pink type lady! Thanks for all your input. And I will NEVER forget THAT comment from you to Gayle. Oh how I nearly...... myself laughing. :D

Maybe if it was the vampire sheep he'd been on about! Or possibly a paternity test!

My pleasure, Mandy!

But to all those who think you were the drunkest ever at a KeoghCon, please don't forget our good friend Llamedos, who got so horrendously drunk he missed the whole KC3!!

At least you made it into the Con even if you were feeling a little ragged *grin*

Chris Banks
October 4th, 2006, 04:59 PM
Could you just imagine what it would have been like if both Llamedos & Myself were in the same room at the same time - and I mean the bar, for all you pervs out there!?

Sharon, it's a cheese monster coming over the hill - I think!! ;)

I'd forgot about that Debs :) .... In any case I'm only jealous as I can't drink like that myself anymore

That man is hilarious! Mandy was very very drunk indeed, but at least he was still standing, unlike Llamedos by the end of the night at KC2! At least I think it was that one, I do remember a bunch of us having to physically lift him off the floor around the pool table at one of the Manchester ones because he couldn't manage it himself!

Chris it is a cheese monster, with some prawn jelly!

well I managed to miss the whole of the day on the con, only the tempting of food (if you could call it that) made me pull my green ass out of bed.

next year must remember to not drink a whole bottle of wine on the friday night and go to bed earlier :S

John, you missed SO much! You even missed your little birthday thread in The Retreat (ER, NO YOU DIDN'T)!! But if future Cons are gonna be measured by this year's as a yardstick, oh dear. It could get very silly indeed. But fun, indeed. :D

One day I'll get back over there. My wife and I were there for the third or fourth one I forget which but it's so hard to get there considering the flight, two trains I think it was and then a taxi. I think we spent more time traveling then we spent there. But, I made there at lease once...so far.
