WHAT’S IN THE WORKS: (Please keep in mind that items are always subject to change.) Once I have an actual publication date an item will move up to the Publications section.

Brian’s Plan: He’s writing two novellas and possibly one or two short stories … Necroscope based. The two novellas he’s working on now are tentatively titled For the Dead Travel Slowly and Harry and the Pirates. He is more than 100 pages into “For the Dead.” Whether these will appear individually or in a collection hasn’t yet been decided. Info … as always, when available.

Bob Eggleton will be doing artwork. http://www.subterraneanpress.com/ Contents: Volume One: The Horror at Oakdeene, Born of the Winds, The Fairground Horror, The Taint, Rising with Surtsey, Lord of the Worms, The House of the Temple. Volume Two: The Caller of The Black, Haggopian, Cement Surroundings, The House of Cthulhu, The Night Sea-Maid Went Down, Name and Number, Recognition, Curse of the Golden Guardians, Aunt Hester, The Kiss of Bugg-Shash, De Marigny’s Clock, Mylakhrion the Immortal The Sister City, What Dark God?, The Statement of Henry Worthy, Dagon’s Bell, The Thing from the Blasted Heath, Dylath Leen, The Mirror of Nitocris, The Second Wish, The Hymn, Synchronicity or Something, The Black Recalled, The Sorcerer’s Dream.

Marvin Kaye is editing a book called The Ghost Quartet which will include the new novella The Place of Waiting. TOR Books is the publisher and as soon as I have a publication date you’ll find it here. We have been informed that the final story is in … so fingers crossed on when it’s published.

Paul Calvin Wilson, of Lighthouse Media One, is putting together a Lumley anthology trilogy called From the Vaults. [/b]. Volume Two contains a Foreword, Introductions to each story, The Deep-Sea Conch, Ambler’s Inspiration, The Last Rite, Cryptically Yours and The Writer in the Garret. Paul Calvin Wilson, of Lighthouse Media One, is putting together a Lumley anthology trilogy called From the Vaults. Volume Three contains a Foreword, Introductions to each story, Darghud’s Doll, David’s Worm, Vanessa’s Voice The Running Man and In the Vaults Beneath. All the artwork will be done by Allen Koszowski. http://www.lighthousemediaone.co.uk/

Solaris are talking about publishing The Compleat Crow with a Bob Eggleton Cover … Contents: Inception, Lord of the Worms, The Caller of the Black, The Viking’s Stone, The Mirror of Nitocris, An Item of Supporting Evidence, Billy’s Oak, Darghud’s Doll, De Marigny’s Clock, Name and Number, The Black Recalled. They are planning on doing the two Mythos novels (the Subterranean versions), again with covers by Bob. When publication dates are available I’ll let you know as always.

Necroscope the movie. http://www.necroscopethemovie.com The third option has been made. Work continues to go on. Peter Atkins, who Brian knows, has written the only script Brian has liked so far and at least that is looking good at the moment. They took the option on the proviso that they would be able to have access to Wamphyri and The Source as well. So until anything substantial happens … this item is relegated to last on the list, but certainly not least.

APPEARANCES (NOTE: Brian attends all his scheduled appearances provided the planes are flying and there aren’t any emergencies which would cause cancellation.)

World Horror Convention 2007. Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Thursday March 29-Sunday April 1.
http://www.whc2007.org/ Things are shaping up nicely. Brian will be doing the Friday night mass autograph session and he’ll be doing a one hour reading consisting of two stories. There might be a signing session at what boasts on being “the Biggest Bookstore in the World,” but that’s still in the planning stages. Info if/when this is going to happen. But you can always keep track of what’s going on by going to the website.
