Wow, tempus is really fugiting now...

Won't be long now before we are all lifting our glasses and having a great time. Brian and I are really looking forward to it ... especially me so my work is limited and I'm free to keep lifting my glass if I so desire.

We can but hope for good weather for the weekend, fingers crossed.

We shall try and keep your glass replenished!! ;)

Has that awning gone up on the wee 'smoking' balcony yet? It wasn't there at the beginning of August!!

17 days and counting.... tick tock, ............

We went and saw Sue last night, I had two breezers, weeeeeeeee. Then Brian and I walked down to the seafront and got fish & chips.

Nope, no covering as yet, we'll just keep our fingers and toes crossed that it will not be a rainy weekend. I can only suggest that smokers bring a brolly with them.

Fish n Chips? Treating yourselves these days?? :D Very nice, too. Haven't had fish n chips for yonks.

Reminder to self - must bring brolly, or very large pullover!! Amongst other things (which are already put to one side):rolleyes:

I'm attending what will be my first gathering this year.

Can anyone tell me what to expect?

Or am I better off not knowing!

I'm really looking forward to this. I'm travelling from Ireland flying into Exeter and getting a train to Torquay.

Cant wait!

Lesk; You can expect to be better off not knowing!! Along with meeting nice, mad (sorry guys/gals:D) but genuine people too. It's a hoot, honest. You won't be disappointed.

Silky, would you like a twist with your beverage? :D:D (I presume that's what Sue told you?)

I'm so excited! I haven't been near my computer for ages I've been so busy and then it suddenly dawned on me that this is less than 2 weeks away!

Never before has it snuck up on me like this, usually I'm counting down but this year has just been so manic, it seems lik one minute it was January with ages to go and the next it's September and only one weekend away!

Now I can't wait!

don't worry about it. no one bites. everyone I've met over the years has turned out to be a genuine friend! I'm really looking forward to this as I didn't make it to last years... counting down the days now... well they do fit on one hand:)

Chris Banks
September 17th, 2007, 05:41 PM
Why?

Because, Tops, he spent so much time drinkin' and laughin last year (remember that, Silver?? - 38 hours going strong and still that monster comin' over the hill :D) he's probably still knackered!!! :p:D - Allegedly.....................

I'm quite intrigued as to whether anyone will be able to out-drink Hamish (one of our n00bs!)... many have tried and many have failed miserably! And annoying enough, he never has a hangover, which I think we may need to work on...!

Well Michelle can generally drink me under the table, although neither of us have been drinking much for months now... so it could be a "night night, tom" at about 10.30 ;)

It's going to be a blast, can't wait. Hey Tom you know that we'll be the last few people in the bar come the morning light. You also know what happens when you go to bed before certain people. I'm saying nothing. See you all tomorrow guys.

Just had a bit of a scare, the guy that's covering the racing for me in Japan this weekend got taken ill and it looked like I'd have to go. Then got a call saying no worries!

I'm going to see if I can break the land speed record getting there tomorrow! I'm on the red :-)

Am expecting many photos, even the fuzzy ones..lol Have a great time all! Hmm, looking at the time, sufficient recouperation has set in from the Meet-Up and I would reckon you all are now into the throes of Round Two (or Three?) and Having A Great Time!

To be a fly on the wall right now.... heh heh

Oh and I have a Zebra print umbrella in the back seat of my car if needed, can easily fit 4 who don't mind wet arses :-D
