Haven't heard anything new about the movie in a while, just wondering if there's any more info.
Necroscope is to vampires what lord of the rings is to fantasy, and DUNE is to sci-fi. Both books were wrecked by the movie adaptations, I hope Necroscope is done much better.
P.S. Can I recommend Jason Isaacs for a Wamphyri role, maybe Shaithis if the movies ever get that far (The Source).
