Okay, I've got a digi box (in fact I have several but I don't use them all at once) ... and I have a dvd player/recorder that has freeview.

1. Yes, it has the tick for digital...

2. Yes, I have a good signal and I've had the machines in use for over a year.

The problem is with the EPG loading up. Everything was fine up until yesterday.

The EPG is loading up all the channels but Sky 3 and Sky News. I can watch these two channels and I can direct record from them but they are not appearing in the EPG.

Any ideas? Anyone else having this problem?

If it was just one digi box then I figure it would be the box but two separate entities ... and I doubt it would be the transmitter because everything else if fine.

Unfortunately, there is no number you can call to find out what is going on.

BTW, no sense is suggesting Sky or Virgin services because we aren't interested.

Any help would be appreciated.

I go into Menu, Instalation, and re-run auto search-save.
sometimes the programs dont load properly on epg, this way you can check what your system has loaded.

What I also noticed after I did the first post is that the information bar at the bottom of the screen was frozen on the 5:00-6:00 AM slot for all that time even though the correct program was playing on those two channels.

I did rescan for channels. That's the first thing I do if I get a glitch. If that doesn't work I shut the whole thing off for 5 minutes then start up and scan again.

When I rescanned the first time those two channels remained the same ... but later that day it corrected itself.

First time I had the problem and I must admit to this point I've had very little problems with it. I just got the new 160 g box a month ago but my dvd player/recorded is only one year old.

I did discover that there is now a more comprehensive web site for Freeview where there wasn't before. And I'm in the hopes that my items are "new" enough to not have to be replaced next April. And since they are going to boost the signal I shouldn't need to replace my aerial since I get an excellent picture and sound now with my existing one.

Ah, well ... it's just one of those trials in life...
