Before Henry and his son traveled to Starside, the Wamphyri had the place totally under their power. How long could this have gone if Henry had not discovered the place? Reading the third book and various other sources, I am more than aware of the evil and depravity the Wamphyri are capable of doing. But I also learned that there is a limit people can accept such cruelty. Would the world stay the same as it was or would there be some kind of rebellion to combat the Wamphyri lords and ladies. Personally, in my opinion, nothing lasts forever. Even the Wamphyri rule were to last thousands of years, there has to be a time where it has to stop or at least decrease. (maybe the gypsies will decide to infect themselves and everyone with leprosy and decimate all leech swamps to finally exterminate the vampire threat)

Not sure why you are posting the same thought process in multiple threads... but, I will make one comment. If you are so opposed to the Wamphyri 'race' and plotline, then please don't just spat off about it for your own pleasure on this forum. Most of the people on here actually like Brian's stories which is why we are here.
You are not creating an enlightened or thoughtful discussion - you are just being confrontational in your posts and comments.
And anyone who has ever read the Necroscope Saga knows that it was Harry - not Henry. Sheesh....

Typo, could be.
Spell check, possibly.
Humorous, definitely.
My Apologies, certainly.

Ahhh, but the Wamphyri are built for survival. They could feast on dogs for a hundred years, thus laying low until the human population builds up again. The future is a devious thing! And honestly, who would actually give themselves leprosy?
As for the swamps, would you go anywhere near them? Rebellions, ha! They've not been that succesful in the past.
Good question.

But they were rebelling! Perhaps not on such a large scale as after Harry and his sons arrived, but the Lidesci tribe never bowed to Wamphyri rule and were doing whatever they could. Remember they rescued Zek and Jazz from being given to Shathis, and their opinion of those tribes with a tythe system was so low it was underground!
They may not have had the weapons or the means, but they did make it as difficult as possible.

however if harry had never discovered sunside/starside then there never would have been any Wamphyri

You make a very good point there.
