Wonder if you'll get to see God's last message to us all..? Or is you get an extra feature of the Vorgon's reciting their oh so lovely poetry?

went to see it today, as a big fan of the books i was a bit anxious but overall found it thoroughly enjoyable. Thought the added parts worked well and the original ideas were mostly even better than i imagined. Hoping for the rest of the books now!

I've read that the studio is interested in doing two more films based on the other four books...

Here's the link... (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/film/4491259.stm)

Thought it was great and really enjoyed it.

And it stuck with good old Doug's way of always changing everything so that the geeks complain about that not being how it happened in the radio play / books / TV series etc, their fore upsetting them and making them thoroughly miserable grin.gif

I saw it Saturday and despite my reservations, I rather enjoyed it.

OK, so there were a few of my favourite lines left out, but I wasn't expecting a complete regurgitation of the book.

And I liked the cameos... I spotted three characters from the old TV show, anyone see any more?

Not sure about any future films of the next books, not without Douglas's input. And they've screwed up the whole love interest thing... or is there going to be a lurve triangle thing, with Trillian and Fenchurch getting into a catfight? LOL!

I would like to see this, it looks good but I think I'm the only person in the galaxy who hasn't read the book or seen the TV show!

I'm either at the end of Universe, Life, Everything or the beginning of So Long. (the book's at work) And I saw the movie last night.

As I said in another forum, it was awesome, but not the book. Elements of the book, bloody brilliant, but not the book.

I spotted the original Arthur Dent, and almost (but not quite) cheered when I heard the theme from the radio/tv show... Cracking flick...

They've started showing the TV series again on the BBC, the first was on last night. Last time they showed them i caught the last 5 minutes of the last episode so gonna try a bit harder this time!
Got to agree with GG about the sequels-would love to see them but worried about what would happen to the story without DNA.

Well the story was written with sequels in mind - too many threads left hanging and I don't think faithful adaptations would work either - the Tertiary and Quandry phases on the radio aren't exactly fantasic - but still funny enough...
