Only a few weeks to go now until the release of Starwars Episode III Revenge Of The Sith, and not for the first time in my life am I becoming ludicrously excited about a mere film (although any true fan will tell you these are no mere films)
Just wanted to know if any body else was as stupidley excited as I am???

Ohhhh mannnn!!! Do I know what your talking about. Just picked up the Episode III game last night which has a few cut screens in it that making water at the mouth. Can't wait, already had my Vader suit dry-cleaned last week.

I cannot wait until the movie but I do recommend the book first though.
I read the book... twice now and there are a few things that may not translate well on screen or might be skip entirely.
Alot of unanswered questions are answered in the book.
1.) Why some Jedi disappear after dieing when others haven't
2.) Why the Emperor, Dooku and Yoda can shoot lightning and Vader cannot.
and more from there.
Give it a read... it's worth it

Is it really sad that I'm continually watching the trailers and making GOO GOO BUBBLE DROOLY noises???
I'm just a little concerned that I'm not focusing my attention on the more important things in life and I'm just obsessing about a film...

No Helm, that's not REALLY sad. Ok well the goo goo noises might be...But I've been doing the same. Also been watching the last 4 CloneWars cartoons which lead right up to the movie.

I got the clone wars... I loved every minute. I'm become even more starwars obsessed than normal, so I'm watching the originial trilogy as a run up to the main even (even though they are the main event)....
The only thing I know is I have this feeling every time I hear the phrase "you were the chosen one".
I went to the cinema at the weekend, and the hilight was the trailker on the big screen again ;) I've been waiting for this now for many years.
I am a sad obsessive fan... sound familiar anyone?

Think I might have to invest in the Clone Wars, even though it is a shameless cashing in on poor devoted Starwars fans who follow George Lucas blindly making him richer and richer...

Just finished watching The Clone Wars myself. Then I went ahead and watched Episodes I and II again just for a refresher.
The animated episodes were pretty cool and definately got me psyched for Thursday. It really sucks they weren't released a bit sooner, though... I think some people not in the know about 'em might be a little lost on some things when they go to see Episode III. Seems like they would've pushed it a little harder, considering its direct correlation to Episode III.
Until now, I hadn't had very high expectations for this last chapter... The Phantom Menace was decent, but (in my opinion) Attack of the Clones sucked hard (or blew hard, whichever is the proper slang. grin.gif ) But this latest viewing (only my second) of the latter changed my opinion of it for the better... I just wish that whiny little sh*t that plays the early Vader had A)taken some acting lessons, or B)not been so damned whiny!
Now that I'm stoked about the new movie, I'm startin' to worry about being let down again...
Keeping fingers crossed and waiting impatiently...

Completed the Video game the other day and I've now seen the opening trailers loads of bits in between and the final scenes, and I'm pretty up to date with general story.
IT'S BASICALLY FIGHTING THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH!!!
YAY grin.gif
Can't wait now, one of the final scenes is exactly as I alway imagined it and I know for an absolute certain fact that as soon as I've seen it I'll be re-watching for about the millionth time A New Hope almost immeadiately afterwards.

The game is awesome but short and I've watched all the film clips in it bout 10 times each. Looks killer!

Also, there's been talk of them showing the last four or five episodes(21-25) of the CloneWars before the film at showing.

Well I've seen it.....................
There are some dodgy performances, a bit of miss placed sentimentality and a smattering of over the top comedy that wasn't really needed.
But none of the above detracting from what was a truly brilliant film.
My god it was awesome and un-like Menace and Clones this felt, smelt and looked like a Starwars film.
Half way through I even felt myself becoming upset and emotional as everything just fell apart, and I don't think any Starwars film has stirred that emotion in me.
It was a much darker picture this time and even had some rather disturbing moments in it, and one that made me feel a little un-easy.
Loved it, a must see for any Starwars fan.
At last the circle is complete........

I saw it last week just havn't had a chance to post anything. Overall it was fantastic. Effects of course were great, fight scenes ruled, and Anakin was actually convincing in this one. I was a fan of both I and II. But III takes the cake for sure as far as the prequels go. Really the only problem I had with it was the dramatic NOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Great film though. And the Helm is right...a must see for any StarWars fan.
Possible Spoiler!!!
They have twins.

I'm not talking about it. Was great though.
I wasn't aware Luke and Leia were twins... grin.gif
Oh, and everyone who says it's a must for starwars fans would be right... and I was right when I said I could feel the good in Lucas - it just took the third installment to get it right. Hmmm... I see parallels between lucas and vader.

Finally got around to seeing the movie.............
If you liked the movie, go read the book!
The book is much better. The film leaves out a lot that the book get's into.

I've been a little scared to post my opinion, but here goes...
Disappointed is the best way I can sum it up. Better than the first two - damning with faint praise if there ever was an occurrence - I am surprised at some of the emotional reactions people are professing to have. Must be that 20 plus years bucket of feelings carried over from the original movies. I experienced a bit of this myself.
ROTS has some sparks of life to it as the events we wanted to see are finally addressed. Unfortunately, it is a case of far too little too, too late. The writing in these prequels is embarrassingly bad and amateurish. Filled with unbelievable character actions and logic gaps they combine to present a totally unsympathetic hero in Anakin. That coupled with a preposterous love story plus the diminishment of the mystique of the Jedi lead to my disappointment.
Jedi powers seem to wax and wane in response to fulfilling plot points. The higher ground scenario at the end of the duel is the prime example. Previously we are shown Jedi forceleaping several stories with ease and yet Anakin - now Darth Vader and powered with the Dark Side - feebly leaps over Obi-Wan to meet his fate. Totally contrived and a limp ending to the DUEL we have all been waiting for.
The only good thing I can say is that I am glad it is over - thank the Force there will be no more movies.

As for your opinion N8 I agree 100% with everything you said but unfortunately I'm so blinded by my love of IV V VI that just seeing Obi Wan drop off the infant Luke with his uncle and aunt makes me want to gush about it, I know it's fickle but hey when it comes to Starwars I am but one of those weak minded fools...

~~~~spoilers abound~~~~~
Why have I the sudden urge to scream NOOOOO like Vader?
No no no no.
The horrible CGI ruined the two previous movies and the do-overs of the original movies. As it did with this one.
Call me crazy, fanatical (not just a fan) or weird, I don't care. Give me the original releases of 4, 5 and 6 and I'll be happy for the rest of my life. I'll somehow forget that there were re-releases of 4-6 and 1-3 will never have been made.
The obviously fake Stormtroopers (aka clones), the BAD lines, turning Obi-Wan into the new Jar-Jar, the window-dressing of Padme (she did better in 1 and 2!), etc. I could go on forever.
All in all I'm glad I have the 'whole' story, but I would have rather not physically seen the movies. I just now have to figure out how to tell my dad (or not) why I hate the x-mas gift I begged him for (4-6 on DVD) and perhaps he'll never notice that his HBO-taped versions of 4-6 are missing....
