I saw this one last night folks and thought it was pretty decent, some pretty amazing action and some disturbing scenes featuring genocide that quite frankly leave you quite speechless.
Bit of a fast ending though but not so typically gooey or heroic that your violently sick afterwards and are left quite pleased with the end results...

Anyone else managed to catch this one yet???

I saw this the other week.. it's terrable!. total rubbish. some nice action and special effects. the second you start to try to look at the plot the Million or so plot holes jump out and smack you in the face.

Got to see it. Can't say I liked a bit. I couldn't stand seeing a movie about an alien invasion on that scale and having to watch Cruise in a basement with Tim Robins for 40 minutes. Good effects though.

Spoiler warnings, dont' read if you don't want to know!. and these are the ones that have just popped in my head. I've forgotton others.

1) The lone camcorder working when nothing else does... I know that can technicaly be explained if the battery was entirly dead the EMP wouldn't have effected it but it still seemed stupid.

2) If the ships were burried thousands of years ago, why not take over the planet then? why wait?

3) If they came here thousands of years ago they would have known about the bacteria cos they would have died then.

4) They were using our blood as firtilizer by the look of it, to help aid in the terraforming of the planet, but seeing as you saw them wandering around, with no breathing apparatus it would suggest the plannet didn't need terraforming.

5) How is it that everyone who saw one of those things died.. appart from his family, even the one blown up on the hill!.

6) If a race has learned enough about Bio-Engineering to use our blood as a fast acting furtilizer they would sure as hell know about bacteria.
