I have Tonks, not sure if I like it though!
But that could be because it horribly depressed me :(

*rubs image from mind* thanks for that Dave tongue.gif

errr... I'm not a fan myself. allways thought it was overated the Harry potter saga. There's far more original and better written out there.

But one of my best friends loves it, and she basically said "it was poop, and she could have written the entire story and contents in 20 pages, instead of filling the book out with stocking filler writting."

I haven't read this one, so can't pass comment personnally smile.gif

I like the whole series but then again I'm easy to please. grin.gif ;) tongue.gif
The Half Blood Prince, when compared to the previous books, is a bit different.
Throughout the whole thing you can sense the darker tones because Voldemort has fully returned and he and his followers are off killing people and generally causing mayhem.
Again comparing it to the other books, it seemed that the HBP was "spat out" instead of thought out by the author. A book for the sake of a book I guess. Not as intriguing as the previous ones.
Maybe due to the whole impeding finality of the series being right around the corner? I'm not sure.
But it didn't stop me from reading it twice. ;) grin.gif

I've enjoyed reading them along with my daughter simply because she's almost fifteen now and it seems like they're one of the few things she'll still discuss with me!

But overall I think they're going downhill very fast, becoming predictable and monotonous.

The first two were entertaining and the third was just my style... dark. Unfortunately, the fourth and fifth plodded along like thick ketchup leaving me with almost no memory of what happened and no desire (aside from the previously stated) to continue. If I make it all the way through this latest I'll be pretty surprised...

Stick with it N8, after coming through the depression I've finally decided that it was a pretty good book after all and has set the final one up to be a bit of a ding dong battle...

I see people’s points when they say it plods along in parts but I think the first three were so simplistic that they were short enough for you to just breeze through them.
But 4-5 and 6 the core story becomes more important, and so you've almost got two books to get through with two separate threads running through them, not just Harry's year at Hogwarts with quiditch, girls, acne and lessons which is essentially what the original premise was, but then you've also got the darker more interesting storyline of Voldemort as well and it makes things less interesting and you just wish that sometimes she would just get to the juicy more important parts a lot quicker and cut the crap.
